COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Previously known as "Schwarzer Woipertinger".

(Draught at GBBF, London, 3 Aug) Colour is pale brown with a beige head. Nose is fruity with a wheaty character and notes of banana, chocolate and clove. Taste has a bittersweet wheat character and notes of banana, vanilla and chocolate (nice banana and chocolate ice-cream taste). Well balanced and nice, but lacking something extra.

madsberg (11762) - Søborg, DENMARK - AUG 15, 2006
Bottled. Amber coloured. Murky. Light brown dense head. Sweet, yeasty and light spiced banana aroma. Flavour is citric, yeasty and has banana notes. Quite bland. Thin bodied and watery. Sweet yeasty end.

MesandSim (7117) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - AUG 6, 2006
UPDATED: APR 6, 2007 A Sim Rate (Draught at GBBF): Smells like chocolate brownies and wheat. Not a bad combination. Taste is bland. Like it should be chocolate cake, but it’s only vanilla.

2.6
Mungo (2470) - Southampton, Hampshire, ENGLAND - MAY 2, 2006
Draught @ Reading Beer Festival 2006. Muddy. Cold fizzy palate mutes some flavours. Citric spice and fruity yeast aromas lead into an almopst sour finish.

3.4
maeib (8749) - Wootton, Northampton, Northamptonshire, ENGLAND - MAY 1, 2006
Draught - Reading BF. A very very murky diarrhoea coloured dunkelweizen with an off-white head. The aroma is really nice with bananas and toffee as expected. The taste is more of the same: smooth and good bodied. Decent.

Joeh (2049) - Buckinghamshire, ENGLAND - MAY 1, 2006
Reading BF 2006. Murky look to it. Wheaty, typically sweet aroma. Sweet flavoured with an odd irony metallic edge to it. Banana abundant.

kook (2033) - Perth, Western Australia, AUSTRALIA - APR 30, 2006

joergen (27978) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - APR 17, 2006
Bottle. Hazy orange coloured with an off white head. Acidic aroma of spices and bananas. Flavour of spices and bananas with light acidic notes.

2.7
pivnizub (10566) - Bochum, Porúří, GERMANY - APR 15, 2006
Bottle: Cloudy, chestnut to amber coloured, small fluffy head, quickly diminishing; sourish (vinegar !) fruity nose: bananas, cloves, yeast; sourish-sweetish fruity flavour, fizzy mouthfeel, light bodied; sourish-fruity, again, finish, nearly no tartness. Not really bad, drinkable, but it smells just a bit funny.......Must try it again! (Thanks to joss for this sample)
