This is quite roasty and actually even creamy, maybe the most creamy common pale lager here in Finland, and that’s way the best, with Lapin Kulta. Anyway, common crap. [0,33 Can] mjs (7261) - Helsinki, FINLAND - JUN 29, 2010
(Canned) Poured palve golden and clear. Head was medium sized and white. Aroma was metallic and mildly grassy. Palate was quite light bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were sweetness, mildly grass, metallicness and bitterness. Aftertaste was bitter. Cuso (8687) - Bratislava, SLOVAK REPUBLIC - APR 1, 2010
Bottle somewhere in Finland. Golden color with a thin head. Aroma is quite malty. Taste light sweet with short malty finish. rmasa (324) - Vantaa, FINLAND - JAN 19, 2010
Dirty brown color; strong, but unpleasant somehow striking malty/metallic hop aroma; light body and watery mouthfeel; flavor of some malt with metallic hop notes in the finish and with every detail (which there are little) screaming "industrial" in your face. In any sense it´s not pleasure to drink and on the other hand the dirty feeling cuts even the refreshness of, so there´s only one use I can think of to this, and considering it´s strength there are far better choices even to that purpose. But at least this beer defines the importance of marketing. It´s pretty funny to hear people talking of this as "the only real beer" and "the beer of the beers" and not just in ironic sense, because really what it tastes is like spring water added some dirty additives - and for many that´s the same as "tasty". Even more funny though, is hearing over 100kg weight robust man talking of how this below 4.7 abv beer "goes to a head like a hammer". Russo (2011) - Hemhofen, GERMANY - JAN 11, 2010
Bottle in ROSSO Restaurant in Rovaniemi, Finland. Golden color with a thin head. Aroma is quite malty as well as the flavor. FInish is short and dry.

Bottle at Arlanda airport (5.4%ABV). Golden with a medium sized white head. Sweet grainy aroma with a hint of grass. Sweet and malty flavour. Nisse666 (7405) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - OCT 24, 2009
Can a bit better then the stronger one, but still to much alcoholic and metallic flavors - I havent found any nice beer in Finland except Lapinkulta Hermod (7844) - Vantaa, FINLAND - OCT 7, 2009
very strong taste, hops and grainy. above average finnish lager. Easy to drink. ilves (30) - FINLAND - AUG 14, 2009
I’m a little disappointed. It tastes as if one adds springwater to the Karhu IVA beer and reduces the alcohol concentration that way. Finwe (438) - Grankulla, FINLAND - MAY 18, 2009
Bottle 33 cl. A golden colour with a thin white head. Aroma includes some malt, as does the taste. A hint of hoppiness in the aftertaste. Not a very interesting beer by any means, but server its purpose quite ok.
