[email protected], Turku. Golden colour with mediumsized white head. Aroma is bready malts along with nice grassy hops and also some slight fruityness (probably from the yeast). Flavour is malty, hoppy and slightly fruity. A very refreshing lager

Golden color, small mostly vanishing head. Brewing mash, red currant and citrus in the aroma. Very carbonated. Brewing mash -malty, lightly citrusy hoppy flavor. Kind of refreshing, a bit sweet. Not too bad from Carlsberg owned microbrewery, at least it is microbrew beer!

UPDATED: JAN 10, 2009 Keg (Schönes Fraulein, Helsinki)
Orangy, no head. Non-descript aroma. Light lageriness at best. Very thin taste, some sweet fruity component, I guess. Thin palate, too fizzy. Almost no finish - perhaps a hop was detected once. (4-3-4-3-6=1.8)
Rerate: 2009-01, revised recipe allegedly. (5-2-5-2-8=2.2)
Phil says cauliflower with cheese sauce and mustard, and Anna says cottage cheese, as the aroma. Phil says floral shampoo (not soap) for the taste. Slightly lactic palate. Some tingle of hops. Quite refreshing.

Pours golden color with a small head. Aroma of grass, mild hops, caramel and fruits. Flavor is the same with some toffee.

(Draugh at Schönes Fraulein, Helsinki, on 2008-08-16) Pale golden. Hardly any head. Very weak nose with some hop aromas. Dry, soft and light palate with lot of carbonation. Some bitterness, sweetness and hint of malts in taste. Not completely hopeless.

Miksu (5053) - Jyväskylä, FINLAND - NOV 1, 2008
Draught at Sadonkorjuu 2008, Porvoo. Golden color with small head. Malty and honeyish aroma with hints of sulphur. Malt, honey, toffee, low bitterness and some tart fruitiness in the flavor. Dull, no hops and no firm maltiness either.

sayravai (4710) - Helsinki, FINLAND - OCT 24, 2008
(Draught@Sadonkorjuu, Porvoo) Slightly hazy golden with a small head. Toffee-malty aroma with clear diacetyl presence. Lemony-pale-malty flavor with quite low, grassy-aromatic bitterness. Light to medium body with medium carbonation. A basic lager at heart, but I kinda liked the toffee and diacetyl. Certainly preferable to Karhu.

Tranquillity (2413) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - AUG 30, 2008
Draught @ Schönes Fraulein, Helsinki. This is so close to Koff I just have to copy the rating from there: "Looks ugly. Smells feet and yeast, unfermented. It tastes the same, with some dirt in the finish. Unfortunately for this beer, the finish is long. Oh shit this is bad." However, it did get better grades (Koff had 0,7)

austone (1062) - Turku; Pori, FINLAND - JUL 11, 2008
Hazy golden, small white head. Soft malty nose, little grain, hint of sourness. Slightly sweet, with no hops. Sweetish doughy flavor with some brewing mash and little soap. Very little or no bittering hops. Light to medium bodied, hollow and a bit watery palate. Strangely homebrew -like lager, especially from such big commercial brewers.

raymondwave (931) - FINLAND - AUG 16, 2008
Tap at Schönes Fraulein. Golden, white thickish nicely lacing head. Nose is big malty, slightly aromatic hops and spices. Flavor is malty, fresh, fruity with a beefy aftertaste. Tastes like real beer and fresh. Very nice surprise.
