"Within the style and substyle, not a standout, but I’m a sucker for it all - vanilla, bourbon, impy stouts. so while this is not elite in that field by any stretch, it was still really good. light barrel influence, and a hefty dose of vanilla, chocolate, roasted malts, light coffee and raisins, Just a teeny tiny touch thinner than i like, but not to a fault, and it is smooth. One of the few KStrauss beers I’d get multiple times." Sparky (2244) - Phoenix, Arizona, USA - JUL 31, 2014

Clear dark brown colour with a large, frothy - creamy, good lacing, fully lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, cacao, vanilla, vanilla beans, light chocolate. Flavour is light heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration, vanilla, chocolate, moderate roasted. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.
Bottle, 22oz. It pours a clear-looking reddish brown body under a dense, dark beige head of moderate size. There’s lots of vanilla and chocolate on the nose, with roasted malts, coffee hints and a little alcohol. Chocolate mousse in the flavor, with some alcohol. Coffee, dark chocolate, vanilla and roasted malts. Full body, almost sticky on the palate, with a pleasant carbonation and a tad too much warmth. Lasting chocolate and vanilla finish with some coffee. Although a bit too sweet and warming, it’s a pleasant beer indeed. 131123 Meilby (11517) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - NOV 23, 2013

Ulfborg weekend celebration of nothing in particular. Dark brown with a lasting tan head. Roasted malt aroma with chocolate, cocoa, caramel, vanilla and mild coffee. Sweetish roasted flavour with coffee, caramel and chocolate, and a touch of boozy alcohol. Well balanced beer
