Bottle at Chriso - 25/09/12.
Slightly hazed amber with a thin off white head.
Nose comprises toffee, nuts, sweet caramelised sugars, dark fruits and a little booze.
Taste follows nose and I also detected almond tones.
Medium to full body with a dry astringent finish.
Decent enough but no world beater. Scopey (14701) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - SEP 30, 2012
Bottle at ChrisO. It pours hazy golden amber/brown, with a bubbly white head. The nose is toasted coconut, cinnamon bun, dark fruit, raisin, leather and booze. The taste is rather sweet, raisin, currant, wood, leather, toffee, alcohol warmth, damp wood and spice (particularly cinnamon), with a warming finish. Medium body, fine-medium carbonation and slightly sticky mouth-feel. A bit thin to match up to the alcohol. Ok. GranvilleTim (1855) - Granville, Illinois, USA - SEP 20, 2012
Thanks to PeteinSD for this one. Red-brown pour with a light tan head. Aroma is light bourbon, burnt brown sugar, dark fruit, wood. Taste is dark fruit, molasses, bourbon, oak, nice sweetness. Complex flavors that meld together well. Creamy!

Bottle donated by Thorpe429. Thanks Mike!
The beer is copper hued with a thin, light tan head. Upon tilting the snifter, a nice sheet of lacing coats the sides of the glass.
The aroma offers oak, vanilla, bourbon. Smells strong and bold. nicely done.
A bit sweet, though certainly not lacking in flavor. Loads of bourbon, oak, and vanilla. A bit of heat in the finish. A nice beer to sip and savor. Best in small quantities, or enjoyed over a prolonged period of time. Recommended.

22oz bottle from trade. Deep amber with a fizzy beige head and some tiny floaties. Aroma of toffee, bourbon, dark fruit and yeast esters. Flavor is sweet caramel, hot boozy bourbon and some fruity esters. Medium body with a slick mouth feel. Nice beer, pretty hot and a bit thin but overall very enjoyable.

Amber in color with a thin khaki colored head. Smells of bourbon, vanilla, wood, and dark fruits. Plenty of caramel, toffee, and brown sugar to go along with it. Perhaps a hint of molasses along with some light oxidation. The beer tastes great. Caramel, toffee, brown sugar, and bourbon are the primary flavors with vanilla, oak, and dark fruits such as plums and raisins playing a role as well. The only knock I have on this beer is the body, which is quite thin. Drake (13726) - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - JUN 20, 2012
Bomber shared by ygtbsm94. Thanks! Pours a clear amber color with a thin tan head. Decent head retention. Aroma of toffee malts, honey and spice. The taste is toffee, brown sugar and a bitter citrus hop finish. Medium-full bodied. Nice. Thorpe429 (5035) - , Illinois, USA - JUN 12, 2012
Big thanks to ygtbsm94 for sharing this one. Served in a mini snifter. Pours a moderate brown color with a short head. The nose carries a good dose of bourbon along with some oak, vanilla, and a big of fruit. Flavor hits toffee and caramel notes alongside bourbon and an underlying oaky vanilla character. Moderate sweetness and fruit character. Medium body without the amount of booze that the ABV would indicate. Worth a try. bu11zeye (13029) - Frisco (Dallas), Texas, USA - JUN 11, 2012

Dark amber in color, clear with a thin head. Big barrel and oak flavors. Lots of big alcohol aroma and flavor. This was a super strong and very tasty big sweet brew.
