4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pre-release sample at Beverages4less homebrew tasting event. Pours a dark amber color with a small beige head. The aroma is overtly funky with tart fruits, vanilla and oak. The flavor, like the nose, showcases sour red fruits aged superbly in oak with a bit of cocoa at the end for added complexity . The palate is creamy and silky smooth with lively carbonation. Finishes long and dry with lingering chocolates and cherries. Overall: Very tasty--a first rate sour.
Slightly lighter in color than expected, but the nose is spot on...funky cherry, wood, vinegar. The body and flavor are lighter than the nose, but still pleasant. Sammy (12725) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - APR 2, 2016
very smooth for a flanders. Some ageing helped mellow it. Cherry character. Very lovely. Reddish colour. tiong (7610) - Espoo, FINLAND - AUG 29, 2015
