On tap. Pours with a clear copper body and a lasting, egg-shell hued white head. Aromas are spicy, grainy, candi sugar, caramel, phenols (mostly coriander), vanilla. Esters and phenols remind me nearly of the Unibroue yeast strain. Fruity, citrus, light tropical fruit. Flavors are sweet, tropical fruit, grassy, weed like hop profile. A bit boozy (didn’t know the ABV). Very estery, light phenols, mango, papaya. Medium bitter, lightly astringent finish. Lively bubbles and dry. Pretty tasty. Clear golden with a small off-white head, good lacing. Aroma of Belgian malts, fruity, caramel, spices and peppery. Taste is malty, Belgian yeast and black pepper
(Backlog) Bottle of fantasy tasting at Paul’s. Orange pour with white head. Yeast, light fruit, hop, spice and hints of funk in flavors. Nice belgian ipa. jookos (7042) - FINLAND - FEB 18, 2015
Bottle. Orange hazy. Fruity nose. Oranges, belgy blond estery vibes, golden honey light corn malty. Some straw, hay. Mouthfilling body, lots of Orange, slight marmelady, sweets, finishes clean though. Quite soft, lots of round bitters, some pine in the finish. IPA (even a belgian one) isn’t the first thing that comes to mind with this drink. Rather imperial belgy blondy, but with a clean nice non-oily texture. Qutie enjoyable. Can’t bother look for a BBE, but I’m sure this is a bit old already, the IPAish hoppy notes that might have supposed to have been there have, if ever present, surely mallowed out some time ago. Clear amber color/ ivory head. Spicy yeast, floral hop, honey sweet malt aromas. Medium bodied. Spicy, floral hop flavors with spicy yeast, pale malt

Bottle:   Orangish straw, a little dark and hazy, small sudsy white head, spotty lacing.   Musty citrusy nose.   Sweet candyish citrus peel on the tongue.   Seems a bit musty, perhaps thats the yeast.   A bit
fruity, somewhat tropical, malty, and not all that hoppy.   Smooth on the tongue, but does seem a bit dank and musty.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   Musty sweet candied citrus peel on the exit.   Not a bright
example, and not all that hoppy.   Wished it were more floral, and less musty/basement like, but as is its not half bad. thirdeye11 (6162) - Dallas, Texas, USA - OCT 6, 2011
(22oz bomber thanks to bu11zeye) clear amber with fine eggshell colored bubbles. Nose of candied citrus, sweet bread, and rye. Taste of rye, Belgian spicy yeast, lightly fruity, and a spicy linger. Mora2000 (6158) - McKinney, Texas, USA - MAR 31, 2013
Thanks to Exiled for sharing this bottle. Amber with a white head. Aroma is Belgian yeast with some grassy notes. Flavor is classic Belgian IPA. I get some nice yeast notes as well as some pine and grass. There is also some brown sugar sweetness. Low bitterness. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation. beerguy101 (5364) - Newark, California, USA - AUG 10, 2011
Sampled on 7/23/2011. This Double IPA pours a dark orange gold color from a 22oz bottle. Medium sized white foamy head with good retention and nice lacing. The aroma is fruity, sweet, yeasty and hoppy. A medium bodied Imperial IPA. The malts are fruity, sweet, orange and apricot. The hops are herbal and citrusy. Fruity and sweet then bittering at the finish. With a name like Black Ball I was expecting a Black IPA. Hint of orange peel and coriander, maybe some pepper as well. Hides the alcohol well. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet. jesperhammer (4924) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - AUG 31, 2012
27-AUG-2012, bottle @Papsø.
Hazy golden with off-white head.
Hoppy aroma. Citric, flowery, and yes, it is belgian and yeast-like.
Oranges and earthy notes.
