Gold copper in hue with a slight chill haze. Can’t truly comment on the head seeing as it was on cask, however, I have a feeling this is going to be a sticky one with nice lacing. Smells fantastic. Reminds me of their Big Barrel Double IPA with a belgian twist. Lots of grapefruit, orage zest, curacao, tropical fruits, belgian spices. Amazing. This is a great rendition of a Belgian IPA. The perfect blend of spices and tropical fruit flavors. The orange and grapefruit are bold and compliment each other nicely.
Very well balanced. Malts provide the needed backbone to balance the beer while the hops lend a very appropriate and highly quaffable bitterness. Smooth. Dangerously smooth. The 8.5% is hardly detectable. This one will get you if your not careful. Pour me another please! ChazMania (669) - Oceanside, California, USA - MAY 20, 2011
Bomber poured into my Stone IPA glass. The aroma is huge, that luscious smell of huge hops along with unique Belgian yeast. Appearance is very clear and amber. Taste is fantastic! This is the best beer I’ve had in months! Great citrus hop flavor with style and finish. I know Belgian IPA is not its own unique category, but this might be one of my favorites I’ve ever had in this style. mrhoppy (1288) - Santa Clara, California, USA - DEC 30, 2013
Golden straw color with thin, bubbly head. Slightly fruity, citrus ester aroma (banana). Malty start with a lovely ease into balanced hops, leading to sweet and tiny bit spicy orange peel curaçao dry finish. Perfectly balanced. Great palate. Tap. Pours clear amber with a large, frothy white head, long retention with excellent lacing. Aroma is average malt (biscuit, bread, meal), heavy hops (floral, citrus, herbal), and average esters ( apple/pear) with notes of apricot and peach. Flavor is average malt, heavy hops, fruity, citrus, and light alcohol. Medium body, warmth, and carbonation with a dry finish. DesertDevil (699) - Arizona, USA - DEC 15, 2012

Bottle @ home from Saveur-Biere.com - Color:dark blond beer with small carbonation and small white foam. Smell: nice grassy and hoppy taste with good malt balance as well and notes of yeast. Taste: nice hoppy presence with good balance of malt. Really nice beer not so bitter and with good sweet taste. Aftertaste: grassy and bitterness with caramel notes and sweet sensation. thetmaxx (917) - West Sacramento, California, USA - NOV 28, 2012
Poured from the bomber. Aroma is of noble hops, earthy and Spicy. Flavor is bitter, and finishes dry. Cloudy appearance with a thick head and good lacing. One of my first beers I’ve noticed a metallic taste, butI don’t think it detracts much. bhensonb (15234) - Woodland, California, USA - FEB 4, 2013
Bomber shared by Marcus. Pours hazy copper with a slight off-white head. Mild aromas of yeast/spice and fruity hop. Med body. Fresh pitted fruit flavor, with some earth and banana ester. Nice finish. vtafro (7445) - Wayne, New Jersey, USA - JUL 21, 2014
(Backlog) Bottle of fantasy tasting at Paul’s. Orange pour with white head. Yeast, light fruit, hop, spice and hints of funk in flavors. Nice belgian ipa. LtDan (1806) - Los Angeles County, California, USA - MAY 11, 2011
Appearance: Pours a vibrant copper with a dense fluffy white head that retains for some time.
Aroma: A big bouquet of citrus (grapefruit, tangerine, lemon). Spicy Belgian yeast.
Taste: A mouthful of spicy, fruity yeast, bitter juicy grapefruit and piny hops. Finishes with spice and big bitterness.
Mouthfeel: Fairly fizzy, full bodied.
Overall: I often times don’t care for Golden Ale, Tripels, and Belgian IPAs do to the associated yeast profile. I do, however like a west coast double IPA style Belgian IPA. This was a real tasty beer that I can put into the like column as far as pale Belgian’s go. Drink this fresh to enjoy this with all of its citrusy goodness, that bouquet is what made the beer for me.
