Tap @ the brewpub, San Diego. Nice head with good duration. Color is black. Aroma and taste are rich hops, roast malt, coffee, chocolate and has a long bitter finish. brokensail (16486) - Dublin, California, USA - APR 14, 2013
Black in color with a tan head. A bit of rye on the nose, nice roast, pine, and some citrus hops. Grapefruit, orange peel, coffee, and maybe some chocolate. There’s a moderate citrus quality, some pine, floral hops, and lots of roast. Coffee, chocolate, and mild caramel sweetness. Decent bitterness on the finish. bhensonb (15347) - Woodland, California, USA - JUL 25, 2011
Bomber from Beverages 4 Less in Santee, CA. Pours pretty damn black with a 5 finger creamy tan head. It is beautiful. Aromas of chocolate and maybe resin hop. Whoa! The first hit is resin, quickly followed by chocolate, and a harsh malt that has got to be rye. Meanwhile the head has laced all to heck. On into the finish it has some of that harsh NW IPA aspect, and a lot of roasty toasty near-burnt malt. My mouth just wraps around this baby. Brilliant beyond expectation. Bomber poured a clear dark reddish brown nearly black with a lasting brown head. Aromas of roastiness, charcoal, rye, grapefruit, bakers cocoa and light pine. Palate was medium bodied and crisp with a dry finish. Flavors of roastiness, charcoal, rye, grapefruit, bakers cocoa and light pine with a crisp dry bitter lingering roasty citrus finish.

Decent black ipa. HEavy on the malt bitterness rather than the hops which is nice but it didn’t have a full round flavor. bu11zeye (13029) - Frisco (Dallas), Texas, USA - OCT 13, 2011
(22oz bottle) Pours a mahogany body with a medium beige head. Aroma of roasted malt, caramel, rye, citrus, light smoke, and toasted marshmallow. Flavor of roasted malt, caramel, chocolate, citrus, and pine with a dry finish. slowrunner77 (12147) - Reno, Nevada, USA - SEP 25, 2014
"No idea of the age, but new to me :) Bomber. Poured inky black and pretty thick head. Great feel, smooth. Almost stoutlike at first, like a bitter imperial stout, but became very well balanced as it warmed and opened up. Pine, spicy rye, and citrus, chocolate, roast, and a bittersweet aftertaste. Leaning towrds the darker malt over the hops, but just ever so slightly. Nice brew." DuffMan (10451) - the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, CANADA - OCT 30, 2012
Bottle, shared with Gripp and Parksy.very dark brown, beige head. A nicely balanced BIPA, with good expression of both the roast and the hops, subtle chocolate notes. Couldn’t find any rye character in here but I didn’t care. Nice body, nice balance. marcus (10337) - Sacramento, California, USA - OCT 7, 2011
