On tap at the Old Columbia brewpub. pours brown with a thin white head. Has a fruity aroma. The flavor is sweet with a mild bitterness. The most dramatic thing is its wine-like nature. Delicious but too sweet for the style. WeeHeavySD (3387) - Portland, Oregon, USA - MAY 29, 2008

Thanks WeeHeavySD for entering this beer. This rating has been sitting in my wallet for months waiting for someone to enter the beer. I’ve tried it once or twice at Karl Strauss Carlsbad. Looks great. Deep red color. Small microfoam off-white head. Mild aroma. A little malty. Taste is decent. Leans sweet. Tastes a little young. Maybe a touch of vegetal or something, but still very good. Easy to drink.
