draft at brewpub - I don’t have much to say about this one. It’s about what I’d expect from a light pale lager that at least avoid adjuncts. It’s thin, sweet, and bland.

GeneralGao (3614) - Iowa City, Iowa, USA - MAY 5, 2006
Draught at Karl Strauss La Jolla. Clear golden color without much nose or flavor. I detected some sweet corn from time to time and it smelled a bit like fresh hay. Very watery. Bleh.

On tap at the Old Columbia location. Bitterness is at 15 IBU’s and the lack of malt cannot support even this level of hops. Pale yellow with a white head. Lacks the nasty corn or rice adjunct aroma, but the body is just as meaningless as a BMC. For a Karl, this sucks.

Bottle thanks to Snojerk321. Ah, the ubiquitous pale lager. Pours super pale yellow with a sticky fizy head that is a film. Nose is a bit skunky and sulfuric with a metallic tinge. Tastes like paper and hard water. Actually, not god awful.. Decent.

Capa (3399) - Kitsap, Washington, USA - JUN 3, 2008
Clear golden with a mammoth, rocky head. Crisp, malty aroma with slight earthy hops. The flavor is dominated by biscuit malts with a ever so faint fruit tone. Smooth, clean body. The aroma is off-putting, but the flavor isn’t all that bad. Overall it’s pretty boring, though.

bergstaden (3157) - Røros, NORWAY - JUN 4, 2016
Golden with a white head - Malts in the aroma - Malt body with some hints of hop bitterness - The malts and hints of hops goes into the finish - This was ok, and refreshing considering the low abv

Bottle from Henry’s. Light yellow on pouring. Slightly sweet grainy aroma, very light. More flavorful than most beer super light beers. Still it is what it is, a light beer.

Am I seeing this correctly? Am I drunk? 2.8%? I thhought it would be at least 3%.....hahahaha. Very mild and bland. I would still drinl it over coors light anyday.

Rating #1535 20.03.2015 - On tap at San Diego Zoo. Clear golden pour with a decently frothy white foam that dissipates quickly. Aroma is light grass, light toast, sassy Saaz. Taste is fairly sweet with a light pilsner malty tinge lingering into a tempered, yet uninspiring finish. Not bad.
