On tap served in a stemmed tulip. Although subdued, the aromas that come through are mainly caramel, roasted nuts, and some berries. The beer pours a clear red brown color with a thin, off-white head that doesn’t leave any lacing. It’s a nice blend of medium sweetness and medium-light bitter tastes. Roasted nuts and caramel mainly dominate the palate, although some coffee notes seem to be present. It’s a medium bodied, slick beer with a fizzy carbonation. It finishes with a grassy and resin quality to it accompanied by a mild pepper and vanilla touch, and maybe some wood character too. bergstaden (2975) - Røros, NORWAY - JUL 14, 2015

Numba 4 in bottle - Appearance: Pours a clear dark amber brown with a white pin stripe for head.
Aroma: Fruity Belgian yeast, dry bready malt and a slight sweet cherry note.
Taste: Bread crust, fruity yeast, both of which remind me of a doppelbock. Finishes bitter.
Mouthfeel: Low to medium carbonation. Medium bodied.
Overall: A nice new beer from Karl Strauss. If you were bummed years ago on Red Trolley or Endless Summer Light, its time to revisit the folks who are now making this and Tower 10 IPA. Snojerk321 (2960) - San Diego, California, USA - DEC 9, 2009

Pours hazy, hazelnut brown with a big, light tan head that leaves good lace. Smells yeasty and spicy with some slightly sweet malts as well. Tastes yeasty and malty and spicy. Sweet overall with some yam and cinnamon and clove. Pretty good. Medium body, vibrant carbonation.
