65 cl can @ Sankt Hans Tasting, Ulfborg
Aroma has coffee, bready malt and some sweet malty notes typical to ASAs. Flavour has roasted tones, resin, sweet malty tones and nuts. Like an ASA mixed with dunkel. Too sweet for my taste. olio (10269) - Tampere, FINLAND - OCT 11, 2015
65 cl bottle (8.5% abv) @ Timo A. BBE 19.11.2015.slowrunner77 (12044) - Reno, Nevada, USA - OCT 27, 2015
Pours clear amber color with a small head. Very nutty and bready aroma, sweet caramel malts and resinous hops, some pine also. Sweet caramel malt flavor, nuts, subtle coffee notes, toffee and resin. Sweetish, full-bodied, tasty. A bit Bock-like. Definitely better than the Red Trolley Ale, more balanced.
I wouldn’t say the hops are aggressive at all, but a nice suped up version of red trolley. Big in body without being hot. daknole (11049) - Scottsdale, Arizona, USA - AUG 1, 2010
Tap at La Jolla. Dark gold/copper pour. Off white head. Lots of malt, sweet fruit, banana, gum aromas. Flavor is strong in the malt categor with a very light floraly hop not. Enjoyable. Dogbrick (13010) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - AUG 24, 2010
UPDATED: SEP 9, 2010 Sample at the Universal City location. Pours a clear dark reddish-amber color with a thin off-white head that dissipates steadily. Stringy lacing. Rich malty aroma with notes of dark fruit. Medium to full slightly syrupy body with a sweet malty character. Flavors of caramel and toffee along with dark fruit and a touch of hops. The finish is sweet almost to the point of being cloying, with a caramel malt aftertaste. A little unbalanced on the sweet side but still a decent beer.

Aromas of roasted malt and dark fruit. Medium amber with a light tan head. Sweet dark fruit flavor follows the aroma with some vanilla and a creamy texture. Definitely some earthy bitterness in here along with a nice alcohol bite to balance the sweetness. Finishes with more plum and raisin dark fruit flavors and a lingering tingle on the tongue. Just had some Red Trolley tonight with dinner and I wouldn’t have guessed this was it’s big brother. Interesting amplification of RT but not as balanced as the original. bu11zeye (13029) - Frisco (Dallas), Texas, USA - JAN 5, 2012
(22oz bottle) Pours a clear amber body with a tall long lasting beige head. Aroma of caramel, bread, citrus, and chocolate. Flavor of toffee, caramel, chocolate, raisins, and light citrus. quiznoaz (309) - Arizona, USA - MAR 6, 2012
Beer 4 in a flight. Raisin with a caramel sweetness. I don’t know why the description has any mention of bitterness, because it didn’t exist in the beer. Maybe counseling is mandatory before they put it in the small cups. cooplander (543) - Florida, USA - MAR 25, 2012
