4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Picked up a six-pack. Poured golden, straw color. Aroma was pleasant with caramel, cereal, toasty. It tasted very balanced with a delicious malty flavor. Smooth. This is a great representation of Oktoberfest. I will be picking up a few more before the season is over.
Draft Pint in USA in Oct 2015 - Amber Gold in colour. Toasty bready malts, caramel, hint of nuts. Grassy spicy hops. Sweet malty and lightly spicy. Easy drinking. I liked it (enough to have a second). (2015-10)

Backlog entry: I had this one at the brewery. It’s a solid beer, nothing too unusual or stand-out. joeneugs (6371) - Livermore, California, USA - NOV 6, 2016
Bottle. It pours a golden orange color with a small off white head. The aroma has solid toasted malt and hints of earthy, woody hops. Bready and toasted. The flavor is the same. Bready, toasted with hints of cooked squash. Very light hints of earthy hops and barely perceptible bitterness. Light bodied. Pretty standard, but well attenuated. A bit above average. Nutty, dry leaves and a bit of salty air rise off a medium copper/gold body with a thin but persistent white head. Nice toasted malt flavor is front and center with some light hazelnut notes in the back. Body is lightly creamy with a little vanilla around the sides. Hops are appropriately restrained but nicely balanced, tasting like appropriate Noble hops. Taste is very to-style and authentically German. Finishes soft , light and refreshing. Excellent Oktoberfest from a brewery that knows a thing or two about German beer. Prost! marcus (10227) - Sacramento, California, USA - SEP 12, 2015
On tap at California Craft Beer Summit. Pours light amber with a nice beige head and a sweet malty aroma. There is a medium-bodied mixed malt flavor with a carbonated finish.

Pours a clear orangish color. Aroma and taste are bready, caramel, and some fruits. 944play (418) - Santa Rosa, California, USA - NOV 19, 2014
Draft at Belly. Just short of diamond bright with receding off-white foam. Preposterous aroma of straw and honey. Sweet and mellow, but a bit worty. Clean, soft finish, though just a shard more bittering would make things more interesting. Stuedmaster (352) - San Diego, California, USA - OCT 21, 2014
On tap at That Boy Good in Oceanside, CA. Looks good, amber/red pour with a decent beige head that leaves lacing. Well balanced flavor, fruity and sweet with a nice hop bitterness. A nice version of a German Oktoberfest, was a little above average, overall. Good for session style drinking. rejtable (2680) - Ontario, CANADA - OCT 6, 2014
Tap at carlsbad brewpub. Nose is malty sugar sweet. Flavours of syrup, plums English tea. Taste light bitter light sweet. Medium/light body with light carbonation. slowrunner77 (12044) - Reno, Nevada, USA - SEP 24, 2014
"More toasted malt aroma and roast than caramel in the nose and flavor than your traditional marzen. So not prototypical of the style, and a little weak in feel and finish. But...the malt profile is totally enjoyable, and this was a decent beer."
