Old bottle, had to be, no way someone would sell this as a APA, flat lifeless beer malt bomb and paper. LeftCoastRider (110) - , Washington, USA - FEB 7, 2013
Pours a slightly cloudy amber with a large off-white head. Not super hoppy as an IPA would be, but it does have a nose of spruce. Good body, nice flavor, but nothing that really stands out. bytemesis (8384) - Sunnyvale, California, USA - JAN 30, 2013
Bottle. Pours hazy orange amber with a small off-white head that dissipates slowly with nice lacing. Aroma is caramel and pine. Flavor is about the same, light to medium sweet and light bitter. Fairly standard for the style. Medium body, somewhat creamy. travita (5003) - Dallas, Texas, USA - JAN 16, 2013
Bottle. The look is clear, no head, goldenish color. The smell is malts, floral, hops, pie like, and ok. The taste is pine, hops, and malts. marcus (10222) - Sacramento, California, USA - JAN 9, 2013
Bottle from Total Wine, Sacramento. Pours cloudy amber with a rich off-white head and a toffee aroma. There is a medium-bodied carbonated pale ale flavor with a soft bitter finish.

Bottle from Dan Murphy’s. Very tasty, and a with a great nose. Aromas of apricot, caramel, citrus, nuts. Taste is sweet, with bitter notes, and average length. Palate is velvety, and medium bodied. Amber, with a frothy head. SDalkoholic (2393) - Linda Vista, California, USA - DEC 26, 2012
Bottle from South Bay Drugs: Created a small layer of film for a head while the liquid was a sparkling golden honey color. My nose detects a decent amount of hops with scent of citrus and the signature Karl Strauss malts. The flavor is sort of bland and boring with only a minimal presence of bitter hops but with a bigger taste of sweetness attributed to the caramel like malts. Also, the malt gives off a bready flavor that balances out well with the floral hops that have a notice of honey or flowers. tcane7 (1674) - Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 20, 2012
On draft at the SD airport. Poured a clear gold. Some hops on the nose, mostly piney, lightly roasted caramel malts. Tasted more of the same, not very hoppy. Rosslew (320) - AUSTRALIA - DEC 1, 2012
Very strong aroma from bottle. Pours a dark orange with good head. Very much has citrus flavours associated with US pale ales.

Wow, massive piney hops. This beer is a flavour explosion. I really enjoyed this and am keen to give it another try. Not sure I could drink a heap of these at any one time, but would really enjoy a couple every now and then. Tasty beer
