At just on cool and into a straightwall. There is pine resin, heavily caramelised fruit, rubber and a note of tart berries on the nose. No head; a brilliant amber it produced with fine effervescence. Doughy and a little soapy and underlyingly plastic on the palate. Quenching fruit comes through, as some toffee malts, burnt toast and otherwise bready notes. Piney finish but lapsed in bitterness. Easily quaffable and I don’t know why. Is it odd as this is just another APA!? (12fl.Oz, BB 30/04/13, Dan Murphy’s Currambine) Maris (1627) - Canberra, AUSTRALIA - SEP 12, 2012
From a 355ml bottle on 12/9/2012. Pours a fairly clear dark golden with a tiny head. Has a delightful floral, fruity, perfumey aroma. This is a very flavoursome APA, with caramel and toasty malt, and sweet citrus fruit particularly prominent, with a touch of honey at the back. Better still, it’s quite hop forward, with a touch of IPA-like grapefruit bitterness present. The body is medium and the carbonation spot on. All up, a terrific APA with heaps of character. gam (4164) - brisbane, AUSTRALIA - SEP 7, 2012

Fresh dry hop aroma mixed with a faint caramel smell. Flavour is slightly blander than expected but refreshing light hop bitterness and very subtle sweetness mkel07 (6576) - Brisbane, AUSTRALIA - AUG 22, 2012
330ml bottle. Pours a clear deep burnished amber colour with a fine collar of light beige foam. Caramel, vanilla and butterscotch make up the aroma. Smooth in the mouth with a full rich mouthfeel.

A-- Poured a darker orange amber color. Quite clear and some visible carbonation bubbles. Half finger of off white head. Nice lacing with this. Good sticky ring of lacing. Head holds up quite nice.
S-- Pineapple, passion fruit, Lemon, orange, and lime. Good citrus nose. Some caramel backbone but this is very fruit forward.
T-- Pine, orange and grapefruit in the taste. Turns to a more herbal variety. Citrus tones get lost in the taste. Not much of a backbone to this.
M-- Slight amount of toffee in the feel but not enough to back up the hops. A sort of thin, soapy herbal character to this. A lot of hop bite to this but nothing to sooth it out. Dry, medicinal orange and grapefruit finish. Some resin in the mid palate. Lightly carbonated and medium feel.
O-- More body to back this up. Lots of hops in this and could be very nice with a bigger backbone. Would buy again as a pretty well hopped APA. Ober (2811) - Bommelerwaard, NETHERLANDS - AUG 9, 2012
A hazy golden/yellow colored beer, with a light beige head. The aroma of fruits like citrus, a little orange and hop. The taste is flat sweet with a little bitter. The aftertaste is vague sweet and a little bitter. Jado (805) - Camp Hill, AUSTRALIA - AUG 7, 2012
There’s not a lot on the nose, but it looks good - deep clear amber with a lasting white head and lively carbonation. Taste is driven by some nice hops flavours with citrus, pine and herbal tones coming through. Maybe a bit thinner than other West Coast APAs, but it’s refreshing and sessionable. Will be back for more. hawthorne00 (4243) - Melbourne, AUSTRALIA - JUL 28, 2012
Clear amber with a white head that lasts and laces. Aroma of kumquat, grapefruit, a little peach, pine. Thinnish body, rather dull mouthfeel. Not much malt presence, some caramel. Sharpish citrus, dry bitter finish is a bit herbal too. Not enough to support the hops for me. crossovert (14233) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JUL 23, 2012
Decent pale ale. Assertively hopped, nice dryness. A typical west-coast rendition of the style.
