A-- Poured a darker orange amber color. Quite clear and some visible carbonation bubbles. Half finger of off white head. Nice lacing with this. Good sticky ring of lacing. Head holds up quite nice.
S-- Pineapple, passion fruit, Lemon, orange, and lime. Good citrus nose. Some caramel backbone but this is very fruit forward.
T-- Pine, orange and grapefruit in the taste. Turns to a more herbal variety. Citrus tones get lost in the taste. Not much of a backbone to this.
M-- Slight amount of toffee in the feel but not enough to back up the hops. A sort of thin, soapy herbal character to this. A lot of hop bite to this but nothing to sooth it out. Dry, medicinal orange and grapefruit finish. Some resin in the mid palate. Lightly carbonated and medium feel.
O-- More body to back this up. Lots of hops in this and could be very nice with a bigger backbone. Would buy again as a pretty well hopped APA. yy0pp (1521) - - DEC 7, 2016
Bottle. Clear orange color with white head. Aroma - Malty, floral, pine, tangerine, caramel. Taste - Bitter, mild caramel malts, citrus, almonds, peach, pineapple. Maris (1514) - Canberra, AUSTRALIA - SEP 12, 2012
From a 355ml bottle on 12/9/2012. Pours a fairly clear dark golden with a tiny head. Has a delightful floral, fruity, perfumey aroma. This is a very flavoursome APA, with caramel and toasty malt, and sweet citrus fruit particularly prominent, with a touch of honey at the back. Better still, it’s quite hop forward, with a touch of IPA-like grapefruit bitterness present. The body is medium and the carbonation spot on. All up, a terrific APA with heaps of character. tokyogoat (1503) - San Diego, California, USA - JUL 16, 2010
A damn fine beer, I would drink it until my liver gave way. Nothing offensive at all, just beer bliss. Would get again fo sho. Had on cask and on tap, both were really good. Aroma was killer, bright with hops. flavor was dry and drinkable and hoppy.

Old bottle, had to be, no way someone would sell this as a APA, flat lifeless beer malt bomb and paper. peteinSD (1469) - San Diego, California, USA - APR 12, 2013
Tap @ Carlsbad brewpub. Slightly hazy golden orange pour with a slick of white foam. Aroma is light bitterness, citrus and pine with a heavy sweet malt presence. Taste is a nice balance of pine and bitterness but there’s a heavy sweet malt, caramel flavor in the background which muddies it up quickly. Not very clean. floydian1 (1464) - FNQ, Australia, - SEP 12, 2013
355ml bottle. Deep amber with a medium sized off white head that disappears quickly. A solid and sessionable APA with fruity piney malty aromas and flavours with a decent dry hop finish.

On-tap at the TapRoom. Pours slightly hazy amber with a thinnish white head, good lace. Smells light syrupy hoppy, slightly fruity sweet, earthy, slightly nutty, some malts. Tastes of some iced tea, nutty hops and some sweet cereal malts. Not that good but drinkable. Medium body, good carbonation. Pyobon (1403) - Sydney, AUSTRALIA - APR 8, 2010
Draught. Clear reddish copper with some small white head. Aroma is floral hops with tangy fruit (grapefruit or pineapple). Medium body and carbonation. Flavour starts sweet and fruity (pineapple or grapefruit again) and ends with a pleasant bitter finish. A well balanced pale ale.
