On tap from the brewpub. Tasted during trip to California. Light amber colour with a fruity and malty aroma. Great taste very fresh and with a well balance of hops. Ends up with a nice aftertaste. patrick767 (4063) - fort wayne, Indiana, USA - JAN 24, 2006
Tap - Nice amber color, decent balance but as a pale ale it could use a bit more hops. Palate is a little thin and overcarbonated. The taste is good though and the finish fairly crisp. Dogbrick (12936) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - JUL 28, 2008
Sample at the Sorrento Valley location. This brew is a deep amber color with a medium thin light beige head that dissipates steadily. Stringy lacing. Citrus hops aroma with a touch of malt. Medium body with grapefruit and hops flavors, along with some sweet malt. The finish is dry and hoppy with a lingering bitterness left over. Not bad overall. Sampler on tap at the brew pub in down town San Diego. Caramelly aroma. Flavor of caramel malt yielded to grapefruity hop bitterness. Nice complexity to this unique pale ale. BMan1113VR (7931) - Los Angeles, California, USA - MAY 7, 2010
Bottle thanks to blutt59. I have rated this beer before on tap, so these ratings will be merged soon, but I might as well re-rate it. Pours with a clear golden body and a small, white head. Aroma of citrus, pineapple, spicy and herbal. Taste is citrus, herbal and grassy. Light bubbles. Tastes quite fresh.

Clear bronze-gold with lasting off-white head. Light on the nose. Citrus and tropical hops, but not bright and fresh. Somewhat dank and muted. Big flavor though. Good balance. Somewhere between PA and IPA. Theis (15152) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - APR 25, 2013
