Buttery diacetyl smell. Clear copper, thin yellow head. Like the Karl Strauss Pin tail I sampled immediately before this one, the flavor of tea dominates. Perhaps my glass didn’t get a good rinse. Clover and honey remains on the palate.

SAVOR, 12oz bottle. Small beige head atop clear dark amber body. Aroma is moderately sweet, caramel, some orange. Taste is moderately sweet, caramel, some orange, light earthy. Light-medium body, low carbonation.

UPDATED: JUN 4, 2010 One of the best beers on the market today. The rich aroma and taste leave me thirsting for more. A must try.

With hints of resin, herbs, caramel, cereal, nuts, and roasty undertones, this easily-consumed beer has lively carbonation which gives it a light, pleasant finish.

When out to dinner I find myself trying new beers if possible, but having the dependability of red trolley is always nice too.

bread, spruce, floral, dough, leaves, banana, vanilla. I was a Fat Tire guy from Colorado before I moved to San Diego. This beer is all that Fat Tire wants to be with none of the hangover. Fat tire is a great beer but the hangovers are crushing. Not with Red Trolley

A malty liquid that when languishing on the tongue reminds me of days gone by enjoying a butterscotch sundae with my parents

Very drinkable red ale. Good aroma, color and body. Enjoyed the beer a couple of minutes ago. Good caramel malt flavor.

Yummy, beer pub pub beer. Bold and full with a slight sweetness that is perfect with your favorite pub sandwich and fries.

Dark amber rose--nice looking, small to medium tan head, rich tasting, almost musty "thick;" reminiscent of Christmas ale (julebrygg). Would be great with some grilled food, cozy next to a firepit--definitely for ale beer lovers! [Like the packaging too!]
