This had an average head.Color was a nice red-amber.Good biting dry aroma. This was a good tasting red,but it was more of an IPA to me.Not enough of the fruityness of a good red.It was tasty though

A decent amber. Slightly thick and sweet on the palate. Lots of malt character that is well balanced by the hops. I drink a lot of this at the airport every time I’m in town.

On tap at brewpub, Carlsbad, CA: Color is more brown than red with a beige colored head that mostly diminishes. Aroma of cheap cologne. Flavor was soapy with a bit of soggy maltiness. Disappointing.

RAYBOY01 (2011) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - MAY 20, 2006
Copper pour with a medium tan head, which quickly dissapates. Somewhat thin-bodied. Virtually flat and uncarbonated texture. Roasted caramel and toffee malt with a lighly creamy texture. Very light hints of a floral hopping highlight. Average.

Copper, clear with a minimal off white head. Nose of caramel malts. Sweet, somewhat creamy with a tad of spice.

beaconstreet (811) - Washington DC, USA - MAY 7, 2006
Bought in an Exxon station in San Diego. Delicious, well done amber, superior for a local. Ripe tasting, hoppy, wet.

GeneralGao (3614) - Iowa City, Iowa, USA - MAY 5, 2006
Draught at Karl Strauss La Jolla. Clear copper color with a ruddy hue. Toffee and subdued caramel aromas and flavors. Similar to the amber lager, but spicy and dry, lacking the buttery note. Pretty good.

Saarlander (1686) - Saarlouis, GERMANY - APR 25, 2006
On the sweeter side, malty, creamy, caramel. Went down easy, but just not a favorite style to me. Tap at Universal

You ever have Leinies Red...I think its the same stuff. Almost lager like it is red clear and and fizzy. Semi sweet and some caramelly flavors. slight bitter end

Snojerk321 (2960) - San Diego, California, USA - APR 11, 2006
Poured a deep red amber color. Sweet malty aroma. I drank this brew after an endless summer light, so it had a little punch compaired to that.
