Light red, Aroma is classic red malts. Taste is the same, with sickly sweetness finishing. Very drinkable but not necessarily a great one.

This dark tea colored pour had some lacing and white head from the tap. Earthy aromas with a touch of sweetness and caramel. Slight bitterness matched very well with pizza.

Bought in an Exxon station in San Diego. Delicious, well done amber, superior for a local. Ripe tasting, hoppy, wet.

Dont mind an Irish style red ale, and this is a pretty good example of the style. It pours a deep russet red with a fairly tight beige head. Carbonation is lively which lifts the beer. Caramel and malt drive the taste, with a light, flowery overlay of hops. Theres a light flavour of wheat at the back end. Overall, a very acceptable red / amber ale.

Bottle. Toasted Caramel sweet, lightly hopped. Something going on with the finish that makes it bitter in the back of the throat. I've had this on draft and enjoyed it much better.

Tap @ Carlsbad. Pours an amber color with a somewhat generous white head. Aroma is slight hop with grain and malt notes detectable as well. Taste is sweet malt with a crisp hop characteristic at the end. Pretty smooth, though overall uninspiring.
