This dark tea colored pour had some lacing and white head from the tap. Earthy aromas with a touch of sweetness and caramel. Slight bitterness matched very well with pizza.

Dont mind an Irish style red ale, and this is a pretty good example of the style. It pours a deep russet red with a fairly tight beige head. Carbonation is lively which lifts the beer. Caramel and malt drive the taste, with a light, flowery overlay of hops. Theres a light flavour of wheat at the back end. Overall, a very acceptable red / amber ale.

Bij de clam chowder uit plastic glas of fles. Ruikt zoet. Rodige kleur, prima schuim. Prima smaak, lekker fris fruitig.

Bottle. Toasted Caramel sweet, lightly hopped. Something going on with the finish that makes it bitter in the back of the throat. I've had this on draft and enjoyed it much better.

Tap @ Carlsbad. Pours an amber color with a somewhat generous white head. Aroma is slight hop with grain and malt notes detectable as well. Taste is sweet malt with a crisp hop characteristic at the end. Pretty smooth, though overall uninspiring.

Bottle: Poured an dark amber color with a little head. The aroma was sweet malts. The flavor were dark fruits, sweet malts and a thicker than normal feel in the mouth, for an amber ale. Overall, this beer was flavorful and enjoyable to drink.

Appearance was clear orange red with creamy off white diminishing 1/2 finger head, no lacing. Aromas are sweet caramel, pale malts, fig, dates and toffee, no hops or alcohol. Taste are sweet malt of toffee, caramel vanillas, touch of date, fig and chocolate. Palate was soft smooth CO2 with meduim body, average length slightly English sweet dryish finish. One of the best reds out there.

Thick white head on top of nice amber colors. Minimal aromas. About zero on the hoppy bitter side. Watery sweet caramel malt. Easy to drink lacking much character.
