On tap. Actually not as bad as overall ratings suggest. Pours a nice deep amber with red hues. Taste of roasted malts and caramel. Light and easy to drink. Very similar to an amber but sweeter and more rich. stoutnick (842) - Brisbane, AUSTRALIA - MAR 10, 2013
Light red, Aroma is classic red malts. Taste is the same, with sickly sweetness finishing. Very drinkable but not necessarily a great one. Aggie80 (818) - Michigan, USA - FEB 10, 2010
This dark tea colored pour had some lacing and white head from the tap. Earthy aromas with a touch of sweetness and caramel. Slight bitterness matched very well with pizza. beaconstreet (811) - Washington DC, USA - MAY 7, 2006

Don’t mind an Irish style red ale, and this is a pretty good example of the style. It pours a deep russet red with a fairly tight beige head. Carbonation is lively which lifts the beer. Caramel and malt drive the taste, with a light, flowery overlay of hops. There’s a light flavour of wheat at the back end. Overall, a very acceptable red / amber ale. Bottle from the 76 station in Davis ca. Nice slightly sweet malty beer. Well balanced on the palate. A very easy drinker.

Bottle. Toasted Caramel sweet, lightly hopped. Something going on with the finish that makes it bitter in the back of the throat. I've had this on draft and enjoyed it much better. Tripplebrew (778) - Saint Paul, Minnesota, USA - MAY 10, 2010
Pours a clear amber brown with thin white head. Aroma is earthy with notes of almond and caramel with notes of rye. Flavor is nutty with vanilla notes with an earthy hay. Body is light with medium carbonation. thenick (766) - North Bellmore, New York, USA - JAN 21, 2008
Tap @ Carlsbad. Pours an amber color with a somewhat generous white head. Aroma is slight hop with grain and malt notes detectable as well. Taste is sweet malt with a crisp hop characteristic at the end. Pretty smooth, though overall uninspiring.
