I thought this was the best beer out of their sampler (though the stout is good, it’s not as much my style). The head had some lace, but not much. The beer smells and tastes sweet, and it sticky and warming. Hoppy notes don’t start to show until the beer warms up.

Pretty color, fair head. Fairly sweet for an ale. Not bad, not great. Enjoyable, but nothing super special

Bottle pour - barely a layer of foam. Sweet malty aroma with flavors of caramel and raisins.

You ever have Leinies Red...I think its the same stuff. Almost lager like it is red clear and and fizzy. Semi sweet and some caramelly flavors. slight bitter end

Bottle in Marina Del Rey. Red-amber color with tall, tan head. Mild hoppy aroma. A bit soapy and a little bland, but not bad.

Una Irish Ale de color rojizo de poca carbonatacion y espuma. Aroma a lucuma con notas de manzana verde. Sabor redondo y equilibrado a lucuma con notas cremosas y lácteas. Impecable!! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Crystal clear amber to red. Very little aroma. Very light flavor with a crisp burnt type of flavor/ Smooth finish. A fair beer

rotoguru (126) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - JUN 9, 2010
SD trip, Karl Strauss LaJolla, sampler, had these while having a larger DIPA, flavors and ratings may be rough: Reddish brown; weak nose and even weaker flavor, really bland.

Dandm (125) - AUSTRALIA - AUG 20, 2016
Christmas pudding smell. Nearly no carbonation, clear browny red. Big malt but little else for flavour. Basement finish. Good for a winter afternoon before something heavier.

dprior (118) - Somerville, Massachusetts, USA - MAR 19, 2002
Great red color. Good malty/hoppy/carmel flavor. I’m very impressed. Leaves a good sensation on the palate. RE-RATE: After having a few of these, I have to say there’s a level of fruitiness that wears on me. I’m taking it down a bit.
