Tap at La Jolla location. Deep amber/copper colour. Toasted nutty aroma with a soft estery berry fruitiness. Flavour is quite well-balanced. Light fruit and soft sweet maltiness. A light toastiness and a softly fruity finish. Pretty nice session ale really. Good balance and much better than I ever expected.

Draught. Served ice cold in a frosted glass... Red-brown with small yellowish rim. Malts, and very little else, seen the temperature. Roasted malts, some bitterness with slight retronasal sweetness, which continues growing warming up, pastry flavours. Medium bodied at best. Horrible presentation for a beer that isn’t all that great to start with...

Bottle. Pours deep amber red with a beige head. Malty sweet aroma, with toffee, and a hint of dark fruits. The flavor has sweet caramel malt, light toast, toffee, and light dark fruits. Not bad.

Pour on tap at the brewery, clear reddish pour with white head, aroma brought notes of caramel, toffee, some grassy and herbal hops into a bit of spice, yeast, slight orange as well. Taste is a mix of orange, marmalade into a bit of red fruit, some slight grass, herbal, spicy hops into a big caramel note, finishing slightly bitter.

On tap at Columbia Street brewery. Clear copper to red color with lasting off white head. Almost no aroma. Really tasty sweet malt flavor of caramel malts with some toffee notes. A bit of bitterness rounds out the flavor.

22 ounce thanks to JohnCoctosin. Red colored body. Caramel and sugar. Nice malty aroma. Sweetness really carries this one.
