Una Irish Ale de color rojizo de poca carbonatacion y espuma. Aroma a lucuma con notas de manzana verde. Sabor redondo y equilibrado a lucuma con notas cremosas y lácteas. Impecable!! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

ONe of the better irish reds. Smell aof copper and gentle english style floral hops. Lightly toasted and sweet. Very nice finish. Light body. Not overly flavorfull.

On tap at Karl Strauss. Fruity aroma with pepper. Creamy malty taste. Fruity hoppy notes too.

Bottle pour - barely a layer of foam. Sweet malty aroma with flavors of caramel and raisins.

I really enjoyed this one! Maybe it is because I’m Irish. Loads of toffee and caramel malt lend to prune flavors. Whispy tan head supported above a rich copper color. Pass me the corned beef for this one.

Draft. Dark amber poured with a n off-white head. Aroma has notes of dark fruit and caramel. Very tasty.

Pours a clear copper red on tap with fluffy off-white head that dissipates slowly and leaves good lace. Aroma of nice toasted red malts, a hint of nuttiness, and clean fruity ale yeast esters. Taste follows, a mild piney hop note on the back end that adds some earth. A really good Irish red, just not an exciting style.

In San Diego, people tend to think of this beer when they think of Karl Strauss. It’s hard to deny the inherent appeal of a malty, amber-colored beer. If I may be so bold, Red Trolley is to this city what Fat Tire is to Fort Collins (and many other parts of the U.S.) It’s not hard to understand why. Red Trolley pours a deep amber. It has rich toasted malt aromas. It tastes like caramel and toffee. There are subtle dry, dark fruit notes near the end. Body is creamy and smooth. Hop influence is considerably less than in many West Coast ales - bitterness is kept to a bare minimum. It’s a local favorite that will probably be around as long as Karl Strauss is.

BuckeyeBoy (7680) - Boise, Idaho, USA - DEC 11, 2016
On tap at Disneyland pours out amber topped with a sand head. Nose is caramel malts hop kick and a bread malt. Taste is more of the nice rich caramel malt sweetness and a nice hop balance.

kramer (6682) - Sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 11, 2016
Clear amber body, minimal wispy head. The nose is toasty and sweet caramel malt with a minimal hoppiness. The flavor is pretty bland, toasty and slightly husky malt, minimal bitterness, meh. Light bodied and a bit clingy with fizzy carbonation.
