COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Mission Beach, the late 1980s. Amid a sea of neon bikinis, Tower 10 marked the spot where two college grads and a 75 year-old master brewer drew up plans for the first local craft brewery in San Diego since Prohibition. Named in honor of our first good idea, Tower 10 IPA is brewed to inspire the next one.

Tower 10 IPA boasts hops from beginning to end, and everywhere in between. We fill the brew kettle to the brim with assertive Chinook hops, giving the beer its intense grapefruit and pine flavors that linger through its dry finish. After fermentation, we dry hop with a blend of Cascade and Centennial hops for a floral citrus aroma. A touch of lightly kilned caramel malts make Tower 10 a well balanced, full flavor IPA.

UPDATED: OCT 21, 2011 Drank out of a bottle. Color was gold. Couldn’t see head, film or lacing. Smell was pine and citrus hops. Slightly bitter sniff. Citrus was the initial taste. Fairly smooth with a bitter finish. Medium body. Lively carbonation. Pretty smooth. Not a bad beer. I wish I could have enjoyed it more, but I’ll give it another try for sure.

Hazy amber with a thin head. Woody, earthy, chewy malts on the nose. Earthy and woody hoppiness on the tongue, with crystal malt. OK balance and a classic California IPA style.

Bottle. Pours golden amber with a white head. Flowery hoppy aroma with light sweet malty notes. The flavor is well balanced, with pale and sweet malts, and floral hops. Medium bitter finish. Pretty good.

On tap at KS in La Jolla. Light copper with light cream head. Citrus, hops, caramel. Good carbonation, medium bodied, start with a mild sweetness, moves to bitter, soapy, becomes more bitter at the end with a nice dryness. Nice IPA.

Pours amber with nice floral notes. The hops dominate on the mouthfeel with a nice deep sense of the bitterness and a long finish.

Mehh...it’s the best thing the San Diego airport Chili’s has. Which is sad. It’s a decent IPA...everything you’d expect but nothing to seek out.

Nice crisp copper coloured body with a thick tan head. Aroma of strong hops, a lot of malt, some alcohol and a bit more hops - very nicely balanced and relatively strong for the style. Medium-bodied; Deep pungent hop flavours show through at first with a deep cascade taste and a nice pungent full-bodied and full of malt finish. Aftertaste is complex with the alcohol, pine, hops, flowers and some malt very noticeable. Overall, a pretty nice IPA with a lot of good flavours and very strong in the hops - shows well. I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased at Ralph’s in Los Angeles, California for US$3.99 sampled just outside the supermarket on the walk to LAX on 03-July-2011.

Tap at Cricket Outdoor Arena in San Diego/Chula Vista, CA. YES!!!!! There is good beer at a concert and that concert happened to be my favorate band , Rush!!!! So, EVen though i think this beer is just a pretty average IPA, it will always hold a memory with me. It is a great companion to watching my favorate band on stage. pours deep orange with a small soapy white head. nose of musty, resinous, earthy hops. pine and resin flavors pretty straight forward IPA here with a firm malt base (amber and carmel). similar to say Torpedo just not as good. However, this beer goes VERY well for drinking at a concert.
