Tap @ the brewpub, San Diego. Nice head with good duration. Color is golden. Aroma and taste are bitter hops, malt, pine and has a long pleasantly bitter finish. rlgk (18850) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - APR 18, 2014
Draught at Karl Strauss, Carlsbad. Clear golden beer with a nice offwhite head. Hoppy citrus aroma, pine, floral, lemon zest, grassy, pine apple notes. Hoppy floral aroma, grassy, pine, citrus, mango, some peach. Hoppy beer with a lot of attitude. mcberko (18068) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - FEB 13, 2017
On tap at Karl Strauss, pours a clear blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out herbal and citrus hops upfront, followed by toasted malt. Flavour is along the same lines, with citrus and herbal hops upfront, backed by toasted biscuity malt. Nicely constructed, lean and dry finish. Good stuff. Hazy amber with a thin head. Woody, earthy, chewy malts on the nose. Earthy and woody hoppiness on the tongue, with crystal malt. OK balance and a classic California IPA style. chrisv10 (17740) - DENMARK - JUL 17, 2015

A: The pour is a pretty lookin’ copper color with a fluffy white head and sticky sheets of lacing.
S: Quite a bready nose for a San Diego brewed IPA. The hop character is piney and floral without much of the citrus that we’re all so fond of.
T: Like the nose would indicate, this does not seem to be an overly hoppy IPA. The piney bitterness is the primary contribution, but like the nose, bready malts really dominate here.
M: The body is medium with a somewhat mild level of carbonation for an IPA, maybe even a bit "flat".
D: Certainly not one of the better San Diego IPAs, but for an average brewpub, it’s not too shabby. Dedollewaitor (16174) - Odense, DENMARK - JUL 17, 2015
Bottle @ Odense Summer Gathering, 2015. Pours hazy golden with a white head. Grapefruit, bread, citrus. A US Strong Ale like. Overamalty. Fading hops - again if theyve ever really have been present. Benzai (15869) - Oirschot, THE NETHERLANDS, NETHERLANDS - FEB 9, 2016
Bottle shared with PotjeBier and MarcoDL @ Beer Temple. Hazy light orange color, average sized off-white head. Aroma is malts, hops, resinous and piney. Nice! Taste malts, again hops, piney and resinous, grassy, a superb bitterness. Suitable decent body and carbonation. Lovely stuff! bhensonb (15342) - Woodland, California, USA - SEP 13, 2009
Bottle from BevMo. Pours rather copper with a decent white head. Aroma is strongly grapefruit/citrus. Medium plus body with creamy carbonation. Flavor is grapefruit/citrus. Malt - noticeable when the hop diminishes. It’s quite bitter, and some floral hop shows up in the finish. Which is quite bitter. I’d say this is a seriously underrated IPA.
