12 oz bottle from Bev4less. Pours an amber-orange with a small white head. The aroma is hoppy with some orange peel and pine. The flavor has pine, grapefruit and biter breads. The mouthfeel is smooth and malty. The finish is medium in duration with lingering biter hops. Overall; One of karl Strauss’ better offerings, a good session IPA. elihapa (1554) - Honolulu, Hawaii, USA - JUN 9, 2009
Bottle. Pours a light orange color, with average head and lacing. Aroma is orange citrusy, and piney, a little sharp. Flavor has a nice grapefruit-bitter bite, along with piney notes and a fair amount of spiciness. Finishes on the dry side, and with lingering bitterness. A nice example of a AIPA. rusty (1547) - Mesa, Arizona, USA - JUL 11, 2010

UPDATED: SEP 7, 2010 Sample at the Universal City location. This brew is a clear orange color with a medium foamy off-white head that dissipates steadily. Sticky patches of lacing on the glass. Citrusy hops and malt in the nose. Medium body with flavors of hops, tart citrus and malt. The finish is hoppy with a lingering bitterness left behind. Decent IPA overall. hayduke (5731) - Eureka, California, USA - DEC 23, 2010
A 12 oz bottle from BevMo in Sacramento, this poured a clear copper with a moderate white head and light lacing. Nose is of citrus hops. Body is medium with a creamy smooth mouthfeel. Flavor is of caramel malts with citrus and floral hops giving good bitterness. Finish is quite bitter. A solid IPA in all respects.

Tasted a 12 oz. bottle. Pours a hazy amber/orange color with a medium-sized, foamy off-white head. Light lacing. I’m surprised that I like this as much as I do; I was expecting it to be a lot lighter and more forgettable than it is. The aroma is probably the most striking thing about this beer; it has a very fruity and sweet honey-lemon type of character. Flavors seem to follow suit at first, but soon develop into a bitter hoppiness that seems much more like a typical IPA. Also present is a healthy dose of malt flavor, and there’s a lingering, coffee-like aftertaste. This is a pretty good IPA overall; seems like Karl Strauss is beginning to offer more interesting beers lately (I really enjoyed their Big Barrel IPA as well). grimreaperguru (264) - santee, California, USA - MAR 14, 2011

Tap at Cricket Outdoor Arena in San Diego/Chula Vista, CA. YES!!!!! There is good beer at a concert and that concert happened to be my favorate band , Rush!!!! So, EVen though i think this beer is just a pretty average IPA, it will always hold a memory with me. It is a great companion to watching my favorate band on stage. pours deep orange with a small soapy white head. nose of musty, resinous, earthy hops. pine and resin flavors pretty straight forward IPA here with a firm malt base (amber and carmel). similar to say Torpedo just not as good. However, this beer goes VERY well for drinking at a concert. JohnC (3008) - Mission Viejo, California, USA - APR 5, 2012
I had this on draft at Karl Strauss in Costa Mesa. This IPA has good grapefruit and floral notes that are nicely balanced by the malts. Anova167 (391) - Manhattan Beach, California, USA - APR 12, 2012
