Appearance: Bright yellow/orange with a terrific tiny bubble head. Smell: I got a lot of banana in the smell. Taste: A delicious sweetness. I get a lot of banana and vanilla notes. Very tasty. Mouthfeel: Extremely smooth. Drinkability: My favorite Hef Ive ever had. Windansea Wheat is a hidden gem in the Karl Strauss beer line-up.

Smells a little funky. Pours cloudy straw with a thin white head. Pretty good flavor for a wheat beer.

On tap served into a weizen glass. Initially, I thought I picked up notes of blueberry, peach, and even some yeast on the nose, but after awhile, the standard banana and clove dominant, with a hint of lemon. It pours a hazy pale with a thick, creamy white head that retains well and leaves lots of micro bubble lace. the beer is a blend of medium-light sweetness and a very light bitterness along with a trace amount of sour citrus. The beer is light bodied with a thin, watery texture. It kinda has the feel of a watered down lemonade. Its very crisp, and clean with a low amount of soft carbonation - very refreshing summer session type beer. In the mouth, its mostly a banana and caramel taste that finishes with a faint orange rind and leaves a mild bubblegum aftertaste which doesnt last long.

Draft at Karl Strauss. Cloudy yellow straw color, with a white head. Banana, wheat, quite sweet, light apple, and a bit of citrus. Decent.

Taster at La Jolla location. Pours a heavily clouded golden yellow colour with a thin white head. Aroma is of banana and clove, with a little yeast. Taste has no bitterness and a muted sweetness. Light body, thin on the palate and standard carbonation for a wheat beer. Overall a fine wheat beer, but nothing special.

Bottle. Pours gold with a white head. Wheaty base, banana fruity and yeasty notes, and a hint of bubblegum. Not bad, but definitely overcarbonated. A rare "1" on palate from me.
