Pours a hazy golden yellow on tap with thin bubbly white head that leaves light lace. Aroma and taste of dead on German wheat, big banana and spicy esters. Can see why it won. KansaiBeerLvrs (5387) - Kyoto, JAPAN - JUL 1, 2016
Karl Strauss Wind and Sea Wheat 5.1% 12 IBU
A cloudy gold that looks like pineapple juice with a tangy citrus and wheat aroma. Medium bodied with a raspy carbonation the taste is very sweet cloves that almost verges on cream soda and tangy fruit.
A middle of the road wheat beer.

UPDATED: MAR 29, 2006 Tap - This is a nice pleasant hefeweizen. It’s very drinkable, mild citrus flavor. Sweet and smooth while not really being fantastic in any way.

Very hazy yellow color with a medium sized white head. The aroma had big notes of banana. Yeasty spice and clove followed underneath. The flavor continued the banana and yeasty clove flavors. Also notes of wheaty lemon on the finish. The finish was dry. Lively mouthfeel with a slight CO2 bite. IrishBoy (4237) - Bakersfield, California, USA - NOV 20, 2006
Draft at Disney’s California Adventure; wheaty nose full of banana esters; very hazy gold with a small white head; wheaty grain flavor with bananas. theisti (4217) - Kansas, USA - JUN 5, 2013
~16 oz draft at California Adventure in Anaheim, California. The pour is a cloudy white yellow with a smallish white head. The aroma is grain wheat, light citrus, and a fair amount of clove banana yeast. The taste is a nice balance between the grain wheat, the zest of the lemon and finishes with the Hefe yeast notes. Decently clean flavors. The palate is medium to light bodied, pleasantly unfiltered mouth feel and clove banana and earth wheat in the finish. Hit the spot. Draught at Karl Strauss La Jolla. Hazy yellow color with bubbly white head that laced the glass. Nice estery aroma and flavor typical of the style. Nose was a bit medicinal, but overall this was a good beer.
