Enjoyed a couple of these beers while visiting my friend in San Diego. It had a good barley malt aroma with some herbal and grainy hops. The beer was a slightly dark golden color with a smaller-sized, foamy, off-white head with modest retention. It had a slightly sweet, but predominantly bitter-grainy taste. The beer was slightly thinner, but crisp and lively with a dry finish.

Taster at Sorrento Mesa location: Golden amber color with a small white head. Grassy grainy aroma. Flavor is grainy and seltzer like with light dry spicy hop finish. Light -medium body has moderate carbonation.

On tap @ Karl Strauss Brewery. Bubbly aroma of very light hops. Pure, see-through golden color. Weak flavor of biscuity malt. Only one flavor to it. Overall, not top quality at all. Although, easy to drink. C- rating.

A half decent pil. Pours a nice golden colour. Malt presence, and a clean, slightly hoppy finish. Refreshing on the patio.

Pours mostly clear light gold with a bubbly white head. Bready aroma with some metal and grass. No Noble hops to speak of. Sweet with a small hop bitterness with a dry finish. Nice little beer.

This is a slightly sparkling light golden lager with a small, soft white head that leaves really good lacing. The aroma is a very light breeze of fruity hops. Perhaps a note of tangerine. The medium light body is more than I expected. It is soft and forgiving on the tounge but it retains the zazzle from the carbonation. There is a little citrus and a little noble hop action going on in here. The taste quickly fades and ends up a tad watery. This is a beer your dad would drink.

UPDATED: JUN 2, 2012 Clear golden, white head. Grainy aroma, grainy palate with a whiff of floral and grassy hops in the finish. Pretty ordinary.

Bottle. Pale yellow color with straw head. Flavor is pale malts, straw, light grains, a bit of sugary sweetness. Just a whiff of hops at the back end to finish it off. Pretty nondescript, not much different than most pale lagers.
