Bottle. Pale yellow color with straw head. Flavor is pale malts, straw, light grains, a bit of sugary sweetness. Just a whiff of hops at the back end to finish it off. Pretty nondescript, not much different than most pale lagers. brianprentiss (703) - Portland, Oregon, USA - APR 18, 2008
Very impressed with this pilsener. Has to be compared to other pilseners and not heavier beers, but in it’s own class - very good. Medium body and bright taste. jarspag (601) - San Francisco, California, USA - APR 20, 2007
Not bad for a pilsner - but then again, not my style - too light, too boring. blah. no need to say more - you can imagine how it tastes cazort (568) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 22, 2008
(Bottle) Bohemian Pilsener? Heck no. Drinkable? Heck yes. This beer is grossly miscategorized: very little bitterness, hops, and the character of the malt is not grassy and clear like in the Pilseners. This tastes more like any number of other styles...it’s light, but not that crisp and refreshing. Too bland for me. brianjames1 (539) - Northridge, California, USA - SEP 27, 2007
yellow beer with low ABV and very little falvor cant expect to get a great rating.

On draft at Karl Strauss Universal City, 11/26/07. Slightly cloudy and pale yellow, nice head and lacing. Sweet toast aroma. Flavor is slightly roasty with wheat bread toast notes. Finish has signature pilsener corn flavor. One of the better microbrew pilseners I have had, though not outstanding. RunDWP (203) - San Jose, California, USA - AUG 12, 2008
Sample at the Downtown San Diego location. Nifty, spicy flavor to go with the light hops with a little vanilla note at the end. Slight hop aroma. Nice, unexpected surprise. rotoguru (126) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - JUN 9, 2010
SD trip, Karl Strauss LaJolla, sampler, had these while having a larger DIPA, flavors and ratings may be rough: I usually hate pils and find it to be a waste of time, however this one had mild bready/yeast flavor and wasn’t all bad. Still a pils tho...
