It has a great golen hue, good creamy head with a breath taking aroma of bread or flowers or something. Its lovely and I could smell it forever. Fantastic taste and wonderful for the Summer. Great beer to eat with spicy foods. jnageljr (10) - California, USA - MAY 25, 2010
Woodie Gold has a nice summery taste. It reminds me of a late summer day at the beach that I don’t want to end. norsk (13) - USA - MAY 27, 2010
Love those blonds! Light golden wheat, scent of fresh baked bread, goes down easy! Great packaging, presents well. I’d take it to any BBQ. NobleSquirrel (3438) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - MAY 25, 2009
Bottle thanks to Snojerk321. Pours a nice golden color with typical white head. Nose is spicy continental hops, bread, yeast. On taste, full of nice biscuity notes and a clean bitterness that is a touch spicy. Could definitely drink a ton of this in the summertime. Good. On draft at Karl Strauss: Beer pours attractive gold color with a well retained egg white head. Aroma exhibits excellent use of Saaz hops, very Czech, German pils aroma. Flavor is grainy and hoppy. A good pils.

Tap at La Jolla location. Pale golden colour, thin white head. Aroma is quite bready and malty. Crackery and clean smelling. Flavour is quite light and soft. Lean but with a light floral hoppiness. Soft bready finish. Pretty decent... more helles than pilsner though. riversideAK (6261) - Shoreline, Washington, USA - APR 12, 2007
Bready notes on the nose with some noticable Saaz hops. Appearance is a nice golden. Flavor is initial breadiness, slightly sweet, followed by extremely crisp hops. It is easy drinking, as it is a pilsner. It finishes crisp and somwhat dry. Oscbert (1302) - Lincoln, California, USA - JUN 13, 2008

Sample at the Downtown San Diego location. Nifty, spicy flavor to go with the light hops with a little vanilla note at the end. Slight hop aroma. Nice, unexpected surprise. KimJohansen (10492) - Frederiksberg C, DENMARK - JUL 18, 2010
Clear golden with a medium white head. Malty aroma with hints of saaz hops, caramel and diacetyl. Fairly hoppy flavour with plenty of saaz, diacetyl, straw and butter. Finished dry and bitter. Not a bad take on the style.
