Draught at Karl Strauss La Jolla: Clear gold color, husky flavor, lightly sweet, no nose. Finish is malty. Decent body for a golden too. Snojerk321 (2960) - San Diego, California, USA - APR 11, 2006
Poured a deep golden color, nose of light spices and malts. Also a very light hop note. A great beer to pound on a warm summer day in San Diego. jarspag (601) - San Francisco, California, USA - APR 20, 2007
Not bad for a pilsner - but then again, not my style - too light, too boring. blah. no need to say more - you can imagine how it tastes dwyerpg (6180) - Las Vegas, Nevada, USA - APR 3, 2008
Smells okay. A little ricy. This is okay at best but just seems a little funky and too much like a pale lager to me. blipp (9268) - La Mesa, California, USA - AUG 24, 2011
Bottle. Pours gold with a white head. Saaz like hoppy aroma with some sweetness and light diacetyl. The flavor has husky straw like malts, light saaz hops, and a hint of diacetyl. Not bad.

A clear yellow colored beer, with a white head. The aroma of malt, a little fruits with some hop. The taste of malt, fruits and flat. the aftertaste is watery, a little sweet and some bitter. bb (9268) - Alamo, California, USA - AUG 1, 2005
Draft. Golden beer with a big white head. Light malt aroma with slight citrus notes. Slight spiciness in the flavor, noble hops and a bit of playdough. wajacobs (26) - USA - MAR 27, 2007
Nothing! I feel nothing. This beer lacks aroma and it lacks tastes with only a faint grassy/ haylike scent and flavor. Its dry and light and could make a decent summer brew. rotoguru (126) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - JUN 9, 2010
SD trip, Karl Strauss LaJolla, sampler, had these while having a larger DIPA, flavors and ratings may be rough: I usually hate pils and find it to be a waste of time, however this one had mild bready/yeast flavor and wasn’t all bad. Still a pils tho... BMan1113VR (7931) - Los Angeles, California, USA - NOV 3, 2010
On tap at the Universal location. Pours with a clear golden body and a white head. Aroma of crackers, biscuit, salty, grainy and a light acidic note. Flavor is salty, bready, raw barley, with zero sweetness. Dry with lively carbonation.
