330 ml bottle. Clear dark golden body with a small off-white head. Very weak aroma, just a hint of caramel malt. Pretty weak in flavor as well, grain, caramel malt and low bitterness. No fault and really nothing ells that stands out, plain and neutral. Medium body and short aftertaste. Nothing special. DraftDodger (1793) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - APR 11, 2015
Copenhagen 11/4 2015. 33 cl bottle from Lidl. Pours amber with nice white head. Unfortunately it disappears fairly fast. Aroma is malty and very sweet. Medium carbonation. Taste is suprisingly bitter and with metallic notes of alcohol. Not a fantastic Easter beer but above average for the Karlens brand. KoNrRiI (1713) - Århus, DENMARK - MAR 5, 2015
0.33 bottle. Clear, light brown color and a small, white head. Aroma of cheap hops, some malts, some yeasts, and fruity esters. Taste is quite malty for a pale lager but not good enough for a påskebryg; generally devoid of taste. Light body, thin texture, and lively carbonation. Finish is short but at least it befits the style a bit more. Overall a bad beer, nothing else to it. BrianWillum (241) - Præstø, DENMARK - JUN 3, 2014

Bottled. Crystal clear deep reddish amber body. Fully diminishing blond head. Clean malt drops aroma, nothing more actually. Medium malt body. Clean sweetness, clean caramel-accented malt flavor. Lacks some bitterness. Semi-sweet malt finish. Does not stand out in any way, but drinks ok.

Bottle. A clear one, dark golden in color and with a small, off-white head. Rather weak on the nose, some caramel and dried fruits. Weak flavor too, caramel, bread and some dried fruits. Thin on the palate, low on carboration. Some bitterness towards the end. It’s not realy bad, but so utterly boring and uninteresting I think it’s a waste of raw materials. 120405 flemmingwillum (1243) - Nysted, DENMARK - APR 25, 2011
Rating #519, bottle from LIDL at easter brew tasting ’11.
Starting with the assumed tasteless ones to make it possible to taste at least anything of them, the first one was Karlens Påskebryg. A brownish yellow beer with almost no head, that is. Aroma is sour malts, spicy hops and metal. I am surprised that the hops are noticeable, and actually that there was any aroma at all. Flavor is sour and sweet as if it was artificially sweetened up with farine or something like that. Caramel, metal, sugar and slightly bitter in the finish. Medium palate. Drinkable, but not a specially good brew, and it has a weird balance. All in all this is not as bad as I frightened, but remember this is some of the cheapest discount brews you can get in Denmark at all
