2. 1. 2017, Ljubljana. Bottled. Almost no scent, big but not lasting head. OK taste, but somewhat funky and unpleasantly lasting aftertaste. Light to medium body. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle @ Lingua tasting. Pours dark brown with cola highlights. Standard dark lager malt aroma, not particularly roasty, hint of toffee. Flavour is simple, dark malt, a light chocolate sweetness, a touch thin. It’s refreshing with a light-medium feel, ok carbonation. Fine for what it is, lacks robust flavour to sit with the better dunkels, not roasty enough to be a decent schwarz.

A cola brown with a film of foam. The aroma is an intensely malty barley caramel aroma. Light bodied the taste is malts, chocolate and nuts. Simple Schwartz-like brew.

The beer looks amazing. It looks just like this type should. The color of the beer is a dark brown, almost black. With a strong light, a nice ruby red glow can be seen. The beer seems a bit cloudy, but it’s so dark that dis is hard to tell. The beer pours a nice layer of foam. The beer pours a nice layer of soft, light brown foam. The bulk of the foam collapses, to leave a nice soft drape of foam. The smell is nice. There is a good bitterness, that mainly contains roasty bitterness from roasted barley. There is also a strong aroma of licorice. It is a bit to strong for my taste and seems a bit out of balance. The smell also has a sweetness of the malts, besides the bitterness. The taste of the beer nice to. There is again the nice bitterness and sweetness. The licorice flavor is even stronger in the taste. It’s a bit out of balance. A shame, because this type of beer is so lovely.
