Papsoe (25063) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - OCT 1, 2005
(Bottle 50 cl) Warm chestnut colour with a marked reddish tint. Small, beige head. Sweetish aroma of caramel and roasted malt. Good, solid body with a distinct alcoholic approach. Light bitter finish. Hasn’t really got any Porter characteristics - more like a strong Dunkel, or a dark European Strong Lager. 300905

Bottle. Clear amber brown color, small beige head. Aroma of caramel and coffee. Taste is similar. Not terrible.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Alexey’s place. Thanks Stas. Dark brown with a beige head. Aroma of dark bread, caramel, toast, a bit of cardboard. Sweet flavor with malt, caramel, dark bread, a bit of molasses, a bit of cardboard, and a slightly drier finish. Light to medium-bodied.

2.4
Scopey (14699) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - SEP 11, 2013
Bottle from Konzum, Dubrovnik. It pours dark brown with a medium beige head. The nose is toast, cocoa, wood, roast and crackers. The taste is roasty, toast, wood, mild acidity, burnt notes, earth, dried fruit and dull astringency with a dry finish. Medium body and high, fairly harsh carbonation. Not great... Can’t say I would rush back for another.

3.4
