UPDATED: OCT 17, 2008 Not a bad lager. More character than SAB for sure. Probably Croatias answer to Bud. No bad qualities. Best before 7/25/08. So its about 11 months old. Slightly dry bitter finish. Big 16.9 ounce bottle paid $2.75 US. A bit spendy for the taste. Update: I had a much fresher bottle recently and raised the flavor and aroma one point each.

This brew pours a golden body with a medium sized white head. Moderately bitter but a nice balance alltogether. Taste is a little grainy, and plenty of carbonation.

Typical pale lager. Pours transclucent golden yellow, aroma is of grasses, flavor is mostly adjuncts with some grass...not very good

Pour is clear golden yellow with a thin bright white head...smell is skunky and sweetly grainy...taste is strongly sweet and grainy...almost sugary sweet...lots of fresh bread flavors...

This is a pretty good lager. It’s gold with a fairly big white head that steadily shrinks to a ring and leaves a tiny bit of weak lacing. The aroma is bread, raw grain, hay, pine -a slightly perfumy, nice, basic European lager. The taste is a little drier than expected, first being light herbal and grassy hops then bready with a lioght honey sweetness and finishing with a light herbal bite. It hs a light mineral-water quality, a hint of fizzy apple cider and 7-up, but while not soft and full in feel it’s not watery, either. It’s a good, tasty, and drinkable basic beer.

CROchamp (10) - USA - MAY 17, 2008
This beer used to have some personality as the brewery was not a part of a giant. It was bitter and tasty, with water that was a true thirst-quencher. Today, it is just a boring mainstream, even if disguised in soccer team colors. If you are in Croatia, and don’t mind mainstream, you’d still be better off with Ozujsko.

Enjoyit (3809) - Vadum, DENMARK - MAY 14, 2008
Pale golden of color with a huge white head. An aroma of malt, hay and fruits. A flavor of malt and weak notes of sweets, almost no hops.

carruthm (1400) - Seattle, Washington, USA - APR 30, 2008
Clear yellow wheat color with a finger-width airy white head that dissipates rather quickly. Corny malt aroma. No strong flavors, very pilsner like. Drinkable but unremarkable.

jsquire (4599) - St. Marys, Ohio, USA - APR 16, 2008
Deep golden beer with a short lived white head. Light corny aroma. Sweet beer with some caramel, toast, some corn and a bitter citrus in the finish. Not as bad as some continental lagers, but I ask myself why bother to send this beer all the way to the US.

larsga (7656) - Oslo, NORWAY - APR 13, 2008
Big shiny white coarse head. Yellow body. Oily malty aroma with grassy notes. Dry grassy malty taste with notes of straw and oil. Some residual sweetness. Very clean and harmonic. Not terribly complex. Subtle. Nice, drinkable. (0.5l bottle from Systembolaget, Charlottenberg.)
