First off, I can find no internet information on the beer or brewery. If you walk past the Vastell dell’ovo (on your right) to the last restaurant on the water, you will find this most excellent brew.
We enjoyed it with the best mussels I’ve ever had. A perfect pair.
This beer is in my wheelhouse, as I am a big Belgian fan...I tend to prefer Chimay red over white & blue to level set.
This ale fell between a Chimay red and a delirium Tremens with the spice of coming in between the two.
I wish I could find more info on the beer. Our Italian isn’t very good, and our waiters english was poor. As best we could tell, the beer is brewed in/around the Castel dell’Ovo. Sadly, the Castel was closed by the time we finished our meal so we could not see if it was available for retail purchase.
In our three weeks in Italy, German & France this was the biggest surprise and the best beer I drank. Were it available in the USA it would displace Chimay in my cellar. superspak (5500) - Michigan, USA - SEP 29, 2016
11.15 ounce bottle into tulip glass, best before 6/2017. Pours moderately hazy/cloudy golden yellow color with a 1 finger dense white head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of lemon, peach, pear, apple, pepper, clove, light banana/bubblegum, wheat, biscuit, light honey, herbal, and yeast earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of fruity/spicy yeast, bready malt, and light earthy hop notes; with solid strength. Taste of lemon, peach, pear, apple, pepper, clove, light banana/bubblegum, wheat, biscuit, light honey, herbal, and yeast earthiness. Light herbal bitterness and yeast spiciness on the finish; with lingering notes of lemon, peach, pear, apple, pepper, clove, light banana/bubblegum, wheat, biscuit, light honey, and herbal/yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/spicy yeast, bready malt, and light earthy hop flavors; with a great malt/yeast balance, and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Minimal dryness. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth and moderately creamy/bready mouthfeel that is nice. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 6.5%. Overall this is a very good Belgian style pale ale. All around good complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/spicy yeast, bready malt, and light earthy hop flavors; very smooth and easy to drink. A very enjoyable offering. Bella saison fresca e complessa, rifermentata ha un profilo meno terrigno, ma anche non rifermentata si lascia bere con larghezza. Mai avrei pensato a quasi 7 gradi. msbernac (2556) - Krakow, POLAND - OCT 26, 2015

Bottled. A hazy light golden beer with a thin lazing beige head. The aroma has strong notes of spices - cloves and coriander being most dominant, as well as medium notes of peaches and other fruits. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, lemon, peaches, cloves, and coriander, as well as lighter notes of yeast, leading to a dry spicy finish.
