Good Belgian beer, in my opinion is a little too bitter and not enough sweet and winey. daniele (9063) - ITALY - DEC 24, 2013

Draught @ GEIB, Grande Esposizione Italiane della Birra 2012, Nuova Fiera di Roma, via Portuense 1645, Rome, Italy 00100.
Unclear matt medium amber colour with a average, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, moderate to heavy hoppy, perfume, moderate yeasty, anis seed. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration, anis seed, spicy, sweet yeast, sweet fruit. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.
Pours hazy light brown with lots of yeast particles and a small white head that recedes quickly. Nose is hay, straw, dates, figs. Big bready yeasty overwhelming nose. The taste is sweet at first with a nice bitter coming in and blending half way through. The mouthfeel is crisp and clean, medium body and a long finish.
