Aroma: Medium-light roastiness, coffee. Light lactic
Appearance: Clear, dark copper body. Small, egg-colored head with almost no retention.
Flavour: Medium-light, roasty, caramel. Light lactic, bitterness. Medium-dry finish with a hint of roastiness, lactic.
Mouthfeel: Medium-light body. Low carbonation.
Overall: The lactic notes work better with a dark style of beer (particularly stout), but they are a bit too prominent for this style. Carbonation and head retention is too low. Not really picking up any hop flavours or aromas.
440 ml bottle, poured.

an Oudtshoorn Ostrich Farm, South Africa. Vibrant amber beer with a strong frothy white head. The aroma is fruity and yeasty, and the flavour is fruity with some bitterness and yeastiness. Overall a nice yeasty and bitter beer with some maltyness.
Bottle bought by a friend who visited Cape Town, February 2013. Labeled as "Premium Karoo Draught".
Hazy yellow with a large, fluffy white head. Aroma and taste of citrus, yeast, wheat and some "soap". Light but quite refreshing.
