Beers, Tampere (backlog). Goldeny orange colour with a small white head. Aroma is spices, some yeast, mild caramel and citrus. Flavour is spicy, wheaty, some citrus as well as mild tartness. More like a witbier than a weissbier, atleast in the flavour.

Bright orange color, small white head. Aroma has citrus, coriander and yeast. Light, watery palate. Light banana fruity, rubbery, almost smokey flavor. Kind of refreshing, witbier-like with personal twist, but nothing to praise about.

Ininially a nice bananaey aroma, classic german hefewizen. However later I get some eggy farts, and some swimming pool chlorine. Curious smoky phenolic taste. A bit dirty and earthy. Unsatisfyingly so. Smooth palate, decent carbonation. Finish dirty and earthy too.

Pours murky dark orange color with minimal head. Aroma of wheat, grass, ripe fruits, yeast and mild toffee notes. Flavour of wheat, yeast, mild fruits and distant vegetable notes. Quite odd as a concept but works on some level.
Tap. Pours hazy brown with no head. Aroma wheat, yeast. Like a watered down dunkel weisse.

A hefeweizen as a real ale? Really? Well, this is what it becomes: Does not look like hefe at all; orange-brown colour and slightly murky. Aroma is somewhat stale with banana esthers, some wheat and hints of sourness with earthy notes. Flavour is rather mild with banana esthers, some cardboard and somewhat harsh wheat. This has some elements from the alcohol-free weizens. Thin palate, feels a bit like juice. Not very good, too much cardboard-like savors here.

Pours a slightly hazy amber colour without a head. Aroma of wheat, smoke, sweet berries and birch leaves. Weak flavour of wheat, grains, banana, sweet berries, wood, birch leaves and perfume. Quite bitter hops too. Light bodied, slick mouthfeel and a finish of wheat and wood. A very weird Hefeweizen and most certainly the first one I’ve had from cask. I guess this is more of a Dunkelweizen. Easy to drink and seems to be sort of messy at the moment, but I’m guessing this will evolve during the next few days to something else.
