22. Pours an opaque dark brown with a dense and creamy tan head that falls away, leaving a thin rim and plenty of lace. Mild brown bread nose, even when warming up. A bit of molasses in the background. Creamy, silky medium body with soft carb. Brown bread, bread crusts, a bit of molasses on the mid palate with a mild bready finish. Very approachable, very finishable. Just not a hell of a lot happening for 8.5%.

AmEricanbrew (6878) - Same Trailer, Different Park, Louisiana, USA - DEC 26, 2012
Clear ruby red color with ivory sheen. Chocolate, caramel, coffee, seaweed aromas. Medium body with soft co2. Chocolate, caramel, toffee, nutty sweet malty flavors--too sweet

SHIG (4963) - Wasilla, Alaska, USA - NOV 9, 2012
Bottle: Poured a dark brown with red hints to the edges, the head is about a finger to finger and a half beige. Aroma is malty with a hint of nuts. Taste is roasted malts, light nutty chocolate, and strange metallic hops. I’m torn between liking this and not.

thorongil2 (3257) - , Ontario, CANADA - SEP 3, 2012
(tap) clear dark reddish amber colour with small brown head; faint aroma of stewed fruit, balanced flavour

Travlr (25496) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - JAN 21, 2012
Draft at GABBF. Brown color, brown head. Aroma of Nutella and toast. Taste is similar. Good stuff.

savnac (2391) - Anchorage, Alaska, USA - JAN 8, 2012
22 oz bottle. Aroma of biscuit dough, toast, walnuts and some coffee. Flavor is rich, biscuity/toasty malt with a light hop character for balance and no alcohol taste. Medium body with mild carbonation and a smooth, silky mouth feel. This is a great Imperial Brown, it really drinks just like a 5-6% beer. Lots of rich malt and not overly sweet.
