Caramel and bread on the nose, negligible hops. Nice brown color. Deep caramel flavor, nice sweetness to it. Lacks a little depth but generally good flavor. Bulk_Carrier (6064) - Vermont, USA - MAY 20, 2014
I poured this into a thistle.
The appearance was a ruddy brown color with a one finger white foamy head that simmers down to a nice level coating over top of the body. There is some decent lacing clinging finely to the sides of the glass.
The smell, holy caramel malty scotch, wow. This could be overbearing to some, but not too bad to me. Its just not that well balanced.
The taste is super sweet through the caramel malts. There is a long caramel aftertaste leading into a dry caramel finish.
On the palate, it sat about a light to medium on the body with a pretty good sessionable aspect to it. The carbonation is barely there - its almost too smooth and creamy to be true.
Overall, not a bad Wee Heavy/Scotch ale, but its not exactly balanced as I didn’t get any peatiness in this one. Gription79 (2892) - Bountiful, Utah, USA - DEC 8, 2013
Ranks Mike, malty, fruity, toffee, caramel, slight nail polish, slight diacetyl, a bit metallic. BrewDad (5667) - Olympia, Washington, USA - NOV 11, 2013
Dark amber in color, hazy with a thick head. Nice Malt flavor light hops. Nice spicy scotch ale. Easy drinking with a good finish. 5000 (6900) - Hardened Liver, Washington, USA - FEB 22, 2013
Bottle: Deep ruby hued amber, moderate frothy off-white head, spotty lacing. Sweet and sweaty biscuity nose, some sugary fig/date like presense as well. Strong sweet biscuity start, a touch caramel/toffee, with candied fig/dates. No real peat, smoke, or campfire. Very malty, sweet, and biscuity. Needs more body and something to counteract the strong sweetness. I will say if this is 8.5%, its well hidden. Needs more traditional stuff, smoke, peat, charred wood, and campfire. Can be difficult to finish a bomber by onces self.

Appearance: Clear copper with a small off-white head and some lacing
Aroma and flavors of butter, caramel and toasted malts
Bomber thanks to Mike. Pours a clear copper color with a small white head. A sweet caramel nose. A smooth easygoing flavor with caramel, light butter, light smoke. Decent. MikeJslc (778) - Alabama, USA - JAN 25, 2013
Amber, clear, off white head. Aroma of sweet grainy malt, some caramel, a little buttery note. Flavor is crystal malt sweet with some grainy dryness in finish, and again a buttery note. A little on the light side for a wee heavy.

22. Pours a murky dark brown with a dense and creamy tan head that doesn’t stick around long enough. Big malty nose, showing caramel, biscuit, and shortbread cookies. Creamy medium body with soft carb. Malty mid palate, with caramel and cookies fully present. Long toasty caramel finish. burg326 (5630) - Florida, USA - JUL 17, 2012
Bottle shared by shig, poured a dark cloudy orange, aromas of feint smoke, roasted malt, and caramel. Flavors are the same, solid beer that was very sessionable.
