Kasteel Rouge is a blend of Kasteel Donker and cherry liquor. The mix of these two excellent products creates an exceptional soft beer with references to the dark mother beer.

Dark ruby colour. Cherries, cranberries, raspberries, redcurrants, low chocolate and spicies in aroma. Taste is soury, sweetie, cherries, rum spicies, belgian yeasts. Sweeteners mouthfeel.

Trop de cerise tue la cerise ! Goût de médicament chimique. Le mélange n’est pas assez équilibré à mon goût.

On tap @ Kulminator. The 2013 version. This one has a lovely looking almost fluffy beige-red head on top of a deep bronze red cloudy body. Smells really good also. Loaded with cherry fruitiness this. Kersj Pink with vanilla ice cream and sweet smooth chocolate. Just like that. Brings back good memories. It tastes really good also. Sweet and fruity. Chocolate and more Kersj Pink. Sticky flavors. A subtle hint of mint also detected. Mild woody towards the finish. Just a really good one. Did not expect to enjoy this as much as I’m actually doing. 09.03.2017

An overwhelming flavour of cherries on top of a sour beer. If that’s your thing then good luck, but it really isn’t for me. It just wasn’t very integrated and I found it a touch too sweet. It was thirst quenching which increased the score, but not my most favourite beer experience.

UPDATED: MAR 2, 2017 Bottle at home. Pours deep, ruby red. Medium head. Strong cherry and cherry stones aroma. Medium carbonation. Lovely sour taste. Prolonged cherry aftertaste. Good.

SPDickerman (1239) - Texas, USA - FEB 18, 2017
Pours deep ruby with a small beige head. Smells strongly of red fruits with a hint of tartness. Taste is tart and sweet cherries. Medium-bodied with a smooth texture and average mouth-carbonation, Kasteel Rouge finishes with a lingering tartness.

PowY (754) - AUSTRIA - FEB 16, 2017
330 ml bottle. Pours a clear dark copper with a pinkish coarse head. Aroma of bubble gum and artificial cherry flavor, marzipan. Medium body with a lively carbonation, a medium sweetness, light acidity and a light bitterness. Again artificial cherry flavor that pretty much dominates, candy, some malt, a little alcoholic but rather fresh.

tmzl (318) - SLOVENIA - FEB 10, 2017
On tap. Fresh cherries dominate, almond skins, not much els but highly drinkable.

Sweet , fruity, cherry flavour , almost alco pop like. Pours with little head. Not to everyone's taste and ok for a change. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
