Bottle. BB 04.2020. Pours dark, ruby-brown, with light beige head. Sweet aroma of caramel and red berries, and a mix of spices (I think I get some nutmeg hints). Tastes along the same lines with a certain black bread dough sidenote. Haven't had a good dark BSA in a long time, I'm really enjoying this even though it's so damn sweet. That said, as it's a bit warmer now, it's not as good as before - sticky and boozy, some licorice hints appear... Seemed better at first!

Bottle, 0.33l. Deep ruby pour, almost black on sight. One finger soapy off-white head, quickly diminishing. Some lacing. Malty nose, caramel, slightly roasted, hint of cocoa.
Medium body, medium carbonation. Creamy texture, thick and smooth. Bittersweet taste, some roasted notes. Aroma of malts, caramel and roasted, belgian yeast, wheat. Hints of forest fruits and berries, liquorice. Woody. Syrup. Herbal peppery notes. A bit boozy towards the finish with nicely warming mouthfeel but overall alcohol is decently hidden.
Overall, pretty good brew. Very enjoyable on a cold winter evening. Tasty. walsted (1) - - FEB 24, 2018 does not count

UPDATED: FEB 7, 2018 Pivo u flaši. Fina sladna i voćna aroma.
UPDATED: FEB 3, 2018 Bottle. Black in color with a nice lasting tan head and minimal lacing. The aroma has notes of dark fruit - raisens and plum, Candi sugar, and some mollases. The taste is sweet. There is ample booziness as well. Nice. dorain (824) - Berlin, GERMANY - JAN 23, 2018
Aus der Flasche (Vintage 2010 - bbe 27-05-2015) im 2018-01 getrunken. Oh ha ein mindestens 7 Jahre altes, fettes Kasteel - perfekt ausgereift und einfach nur süffig. Klasse! kapusil (1598) - Budapest, HUNGARY - JAN 19, 2018
0.75l bottle vintage 2016. Dark ruby body with a light brown head. Sweet aroma with notes of caramel, dark sugar, raisins, plums and some spices. The taste is quite alcoholic first, but it mellows out and then chocolate, caramel, plums, raisins and spicy hops show up. It's easy to tell that this is a strong beer both from the aroma and the taste, but I like it.
