COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
An unequalled beer, at the top of the Kasteel spectrum. The aroma and flavour of Cuvée are those of a Kasteel Donker, that aged 10 years in the cellars of the castle, noble and strong.

Iznogud (4745) - CROATIA - FEB 2, 2015
Bottle, 330 ml from Svijet Piva, Zagreb. Pours amber brown with off-white head. Malty, roasted, caramel, dried fruits, maybe plums, spices. Sweet.

Pours a clear dark brown color, topped with a rather small beige head, and not much carbonation. Malty aroma, some caramel and fruity nose. Taste starts sweet and caramel, noticeable alcohol and some yeasty notes as well. Doesn’t really work for me. Too strong and malty.

Aroma: intense caramel, sugars, ripe, dried, dark fruits. Appearance: clear, dark brown, small, beige, creamy head. Taste: medium sweet. Palate: sweets continue, heavy dried, dark fruits, caramel and toffee malts, long duration, full body, medium carbonation, slightly dry finish. Overall: very nice Belgian Strong Ale, fantastic aroma and palate. Bottle from Beers of Europe, Kings Lynn.

Bottle, vintage 2010. (thanks Eddan) Clear reddish/brown with a small head. Sweet with malt, some light perfume, morello cherries, dried fruit and caramel. Low carbonation and with a medium body.

@ Eddan 15-1-10: en tydlig doft av körsbär eller moreller. Smaken är trevlig med en stor fyllighet, aningen söt men trevlig len bärig smak. Mycket gott. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone ---- Soberness not garanteed!

Bottle of 33cl, in a Kasteel glass; from the fridge. Well, it’s a good beer, but maybe a little bit too sweet. Great aooearance, with a nice aroma and taste. Full, heavy taste and palate. Go try it !

UPDATED: JAN 25, 2015 Kasteel Cuvée du Chateau uitgeschonken in Kasteel Cuvée degusteer bierglas.

2010 vintage. Hazy dark brown with a dark malty biscuity nose and dates and Belgian dustiness. Big rich flavor of dates and dark malty nutty malt. A bit dusty and aged, with a smooth undertone. Honestly a little generic.

2012 33cl Bottle. High boost time from Kasteel as ever ... sits in a chimay goblet and looks like something they would drank @ The knights of the round table ...God Damn motherfucker a good nose too. Raisins, chocolate, paint, grapes, candy sugar . Good nose . Dranks , well obviously rich and boozy ..sugary,with like stewed toffee apple ,tart plum ,bruised black bananas something like that...a tart roasted and dry hop bitterness. Look, a pretty nice ,complex Belgium..

From the 11.2 fl. oz. bottle marked 2013/05/09. 8 months stored somewhere. I bought it today. Handsome looking brown pour with ruby red hues and a small tan head. Belgian toasted malts, some candied sugar, yeast, and cherry aromas are picked up. Medium to full body. Toasted malts are up front but quickly usurped by the cherry and slightly tart notes that bring this to a dry finish. 11% but no booze of note in the aroma or taste. Smooth drinking overall.
