Squat little 2012 vintage 33cl bottle pours with a mahogany colored body that supports a short lived tan head of foam. The aroma offers up plums and brown sugar and dates and molasses and a bit of black pepper booze. The taste is big and just a dash rough around the edges. I get dark brown sugar, molasses, sugar stewed plums and dates. It then picks up a bit of dark cherries and then into black pepper, a sliver of ginger and spicy black strap molasses. This has room to improve with age. I like it now but another couple of years may make this pretty darn tasty.

Almost completely dark, minimal head. Fruit and caramel aroma, with some chocolate. Sweet taste, but not too sweet. Medium to full body, flat carbonation. Sweet finish. Alcohol well hidden. Very nice one.

UPDATED: JUN 18, 2014 Brown color, small tan head. Full body, soft carbonation. Aroma is overripe fruits, raisins, bread, caramel, sugar. Tolerably sweet taste. Alcohol is noticeable, but it?s not overbearing. Good, but I wanted it to be great.

Roasty, woody, alcohol, banana. Very good and soft beer. The alcohol makes itself very present.

330ml bottle at home, although I probably shouldn’t have. Pours chestnut brown, no head after a wee while. Aromas are banana, clove, chocolate, booze, anise, regret. Taste has more liquorice, and sadness. Sun long sunk behind the larches.

P: Pours what looks like a murky mud puddle. Quickly fading airy taupe head that congregates to the sides like air bubbles from an aquatic beast lurking in the dark depths.
S: Aged fruit roll ups, prune juice, banana baby food, clove, cheap leather, spiced rum soaked plums, raw brown sugar, cinnamon, and spice cake.
T/M: Lots of fruit, apples, plums, prunes all coated with near burnt brown sugar drizzle. Warming spiced booze, bready malt, pecan praline and slight bitterness from the spices. Full lush body that is slightly sticky and gentle carbonation that numbs the mouth toward the end.
O: Top notch! Lush and full of aged fruit flavors. Natural essence to balance the sweetness. I want another! Serving type: bottle

Bue en bouteille 33cl année 2012. On sent le sucre et l’alcool et c’est à peu près tout. Un peu décevante à vrai dire.
