Kita (2022) - Koper, SLOVENIA - DEC 21, 2016
Bottle, 0.33l. Cloudy deep brown color with quickly diminishing tan-like head and soft visible carbonation. Aroma of dried fruit, caramel, yeast and alcohol. Taste starts with moderate sweet caramel, mild roasted malt and dried fruit, following is alcoholic and yeasty, mouthfeel is warming, while finish is mild bitter. Full body, thick texture and lively carbonation in palate. Nice one, not even so strong than expected...

A bottle at the Cafe Bastille, near Tai Power Building. Aroma: prunes, fruit gums, very inviting! Appearance: just like cola, no head to speak of. Palate: full-bodied and sweet. A long, malty, sweet finish. Taste: very smooth, the alcohol is well-hidden. Unfortunately too sweet for me, once is enough.

75 cl. Room temperature. Hazy murky brown, small tanned head with slight lacings. Aroma is complex, sweet notes of brown sugar, pear, banana as well as cellar notes of sherry and spices. Taste is balanced sweet and bitter, dark bread, brown sugar, pears, defined hoppy bitter character without being exaggerated, cinnamon, clove and yeasty notes, slight oaky finish. Big body, medium carbo. Excellent.

Large Bottle - taste is strong and well balanced. Nothing dominates the palette, and it is neither sweet nor bitter, but shows its true colours slightly with a touch of alcohol on the tongue. Drunk at a pleasant comfortable pace, it goes down very easily. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Night_Cap (119) - Southern Highlands, AUSTRALIA - SEP 25, 2016
330ml 2012 - cellared for 4 years. Served at room temperature. Pours a dark murky brown. Head is small, very lightly tanned and mostly lasting. Aroma is sweet and complex; amontillado sherry, date loaf, muscatels, caramelized banana’s, Belgian candy sugar, juniper berries, cloves, star anise and nutmeg. Flavour sweet and complex with a very light herbaceous hop bitterness; barley bread, spiced fruit mince, brandied pears, cooked brown sugar, juniper berries, cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg and notes of herbs and oak in the finish. Full bodied with soft carbonation, a thick texture and a very long warming finish. At 4 years old this shows absolutely no signs what-so-ever of deteriorating!

Blueshawk (465) - Bad Bellingen, GERMANY - SEP 8, 2016
