COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
An unequalled beer, at the top of the Kasteel spectrum. The aroma and flavour of Cuvée are those of a Kasteel Donker, that aged 10 years in the cellars of the castle, noble and strong.

Echt een heel mooi bier! Goed in balans met port toetsen! Het betere bier van kasteel.

On draft at the Earth Eagle, Portsmouth, NH. This is one classy brew. It’s restrained and complex, with a lot of balanced stone fruit and raisin flavors on the tongue before finishing surprisingly clean and quickly. Reminded me a lot of some of the great Belgian Quads (Rochefort, St. B, and especially Westvleteren).

bottle @ parents. Appearance: clear brown with good soapy beige head and lacing. aroma/taste: brown sugar, anise, bread, light alcohol and light berry notes. Palette: medium malty and spicy aroma, average to light sparkling carbonation, medium to full body, average to notable sweetness, somewhat balanced by a medium bitterness, average duration and an oily texture. Overall: ok anise dominated strong ale

Birra dal colore marrone. Schiuma, poco fine e poco persistente. All’olfatto sentori di caramello, biscotto e frutta secca.

Dark brown, small beige head. Very sweet aroma of candi sugar and ripe dark fruits. Taste is too sweet as well, with the same ripe fruitness, and molasses. Heavy to finish.

Bottle, 11%. Vinous aroma, actually also quite lagery. Alcohol, green apple notes, too. Clear very dark brown colour. Good stable light brown head. The flavour is quite fruity. Does not taste that strong to begin with, but it turns a little boozy after a short while. The warming kind of alcohol, though, so I like it. Late peppery note, quite clean finish.

Pours hazy dark mahogany with a small beige head. Smells of subtle smoke and chocolate with a hint of fruit. Taste is sweet, hints of smoke and chocolate. Medium-bodied with a smooth texture and soft mouth-carbonation, Kasteel Cuvée du Chateau finishes with a subtle hint of booze and chocolate.
