A strong Belgian brown ale.
After extensive tasting, trying to fulfil increasingly strict requirements, the brewmaster obtains a creamy, dark Belgian brown ale: Kasteelbier. The quality of the past is still unmatched and the beloved taste is very much of the present. Kasteelbier is a dark, artisanal beer, soft and mild, full and creamy. It can age for many, many years, as indicated on the bottle. 11% abv, serve at 12C (54F) (Translation by Martinus)

Utzt a karamell s a kandiscukor uralja. Sajnos tl des, emiatt egy kicsit melytő, egybknt finom sr lenne. rezni hogy erős sr. A nagy cukor s alkohol tartalombl egy igen testes sr szletett.

Bottle. Dark brown with a small head. Strong malty flavour with spices in background. Full bodied yet amazingly easy to drink. Pure liquid pleasure.

Clear very dark brown color with creamy beige head. Aroma of caramel, fruits, a little roasty. Taste is heavy sweet with notes of caramel and warming alcohol finish. A bit sticky mouthfeel. Overall a very nice beer. Definitely worth of trying.

DWF; Bottle 75cl, drunk at Cardinal. Poured moderate, dark brown with a lasting creamy, lacing and lasting head. Nose is moderate to heavy, toasted malt, caramel, yeast, dark dried fruit, sugar and light spice. Taste is heavy sweet and light bitter with a caramel, lasting warming finish. Body is medium to full, texture is oily, carbonation is lively.

33cl bottle. Dark bworn pour with a fine-grained beige head and visible carbonation. Dried fruit, like prunes, figs, raisins, alongside notes of caramel and subtle yeast. A bit too sweet for my taste.

Sample at Bryggeridagarna festival at Skansen, Stockholm. 2015 edition, from 750ml bottle. Great version, sweet without being too sugary and too much. Well hidden alcohol.

Bottle sampled at home. Clear dark brown, with creme head. Jellybeans, winegums, some sugar, bready, malty, yeasty, gumball coatings. Sweet, faint bitter. About medium body, under average carbonation. Palate feels nice but very sweet and candy like, not at all what I like.
