Alkoholisch-würziger aber nicht sehr starker Antrunk. Alkoholisch bleibend, etwas an Schnaps erinnernd, nicht sehr balanciert. Etwas herber Abgang, trocken, wenig aromatisch, wenig malzig. Test vom 10.8.2008, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 5,6,6,7,6,6 - 6,05

Bottle on the train between Brussels and Antwerpen, from Carrefour at Midi station, 26/09/13. Lightly hazed golden with a moderate white head. Lacing ensues. Nose is fruit loaf, bready malts, bitter orange, caramel, sugars. Taste comprises dark fruits, sugars, bitter orange notes, sweet bready malt, booze, caramel. Full bodied, moderate carbonation with a little too much spritz for an 11% offering. Pretty basic tripel, too sweet overall but palatable.

Bottle, thanks to screwball. Pale golden color, white head. Fruity, peppery aroma. Fruity, malty flavor, some alcohol and with peppery notes.

Bottle from Auchan, Calais. Golden beer, no head. Nice fruity hoppy nose. Some syrupy sweetness is evident. Extremely carbonated and actually quite hard to swallow due to this. Golden syrup flavours in mouth and then some hop on the end which is both herby and sweet tangerine. Just a tad too strong for me.

Sampled on tap at PIB, pours a cloudy golden orange with a small white head. Aroma of yeast, and paint thinner somehow. Flavour of dry malt, yeast, not much else. Pretty dry and simple tripel, just how I like it, but missing that extra oomph to make it fully fulfilling.
